Review: COSRX Centella Blemish Ampule

Hi Everyone!!!
So I've been using this Ampule for a good 3 months now and I am ready to give my review.
To start off, I absolutely LOVE COSRX products 💗 I love the pimple patches, the centella cream, their essences, their toners... etc. The list goes on and on!
COSRX incorporates effective ingredients such as snail mucin, yeast ferment, and skin renewing chemical exfoliants to transform your skin.
Serum/Ampules are a great product to incorporate into your skincare routine so that you can target specific needs that your skin will need help with. They are usually a very viscous texture/formula, but not sticky. In all honesty, serums and ampules are exactly the same thing. I've used products that are "serum" or "ampule" and I don't see any difference between the two. Both are usually applied after the application of an essence to the skin.
This serum has the star ingredient of Centella Asiatica, a botanical herb with soothing, healing and anti-stress abilities. This serum is able to control excess sebum, and builds a protective barrier from harsh radicals.
"Centella Blemish Ampule contains 85% Centella Asiatica Leaf Water and Centella Asiatica Extract which prevent further breakouts by normalizing sebum production and maintaing natural skin barrier."
It is said that this serum would be great for people with suffer from hypersensitive and irritated skin.

Fragrance: I didn't notice a fragrance to this ampule at all, so it should be fine for everyone to use.

Packaging: It is a glass bottle and the plunger is rubber. The cap is made of plastic. I always like it when my products are in glass bottles. It just seems more fancy and elegant.

Size: 20 mL

~~~Side note: Can I just say that I LOVE the color of this ampule?! Green just happens to be my favorite color and I love this shade of green! It's a nice light, pale green.
As you can see, this ampule as that plunger type of mechanism to obtain the ampule. The plunger was really easy to use. You just squeeze the head of the plunger to collect the ampule and then you squeeze the head of the plunger to release the ampule onto your face or hands.
Texture: The texture of this ampule is just like any other serum/ampule. It has that viscous-thick feel to it, but it's not so viscous that it is sticky or stringy. It does run down your finger or hand really fast, so it's not super liquid-y either.
How to Use: Apply 1 to 2 drops of the ampule onto cleansed and toned face. Gently massage into skin. Follow up with a moisturizer.
                How I Use It: I use this ample MORNING and NIGHT. In the morning, I use this ampule after I have cleansed my skin and applied toner and essence. At night, I use this ampule after I have finished taking a shower and applied toner and essence. I usually like to dab little by little onto my face, usually putting alittle of the ampule onto my fingertip and then applying that ampule onto my face, kind of like "dotting" my face with the ampule. I "dot" at my forehead, both cheeks, an my chin. Then I gently massaging it into my skin. I usually like to pat my hands onto my face after I have finished applying the ampule, kind of to get the residual product from my hands and pressed into my skin.
I also like to go back and at areas that are more red or suffer from acne, I like to add a little more extra of the ampule to those areas, just to give those areas a boost in their healing process.
Overall, I was pretty indifferent to this ampule. I wouldn't say I noticed a big difference in my acne, no big major changes.
There was redness reduction from the use of the ampule. I do think that after using it, the areas that I had acne or any sort of redness did go down alittle, it wasn't anything major, just alittle less noticeable than it originally was.
This ampule was definitely MOISTURIZING!!! It actually felt alittle TOO heavy for my oily skin. My skin was really moisturized after I used this that it actually felt like I didn't need to put on a moisturizer afterwards, but I still did anyways. It definitely does that whole "builds a protective barrier" so that it can protect your skin from harsh radicals. That protective barrier was probably what was causing that heavy feeling on my skin. In all honesty, I wasn't a fan of that heavy feeling, especially during the day time when I used this ampule in the morning. My skin would just feel so thick and oily from using this ampule. At night time it was alittle more bearable, I could handle that heavy, oily, sticky feel because I'm just gonna be going to sleep, so it's not a big deal then.
I also feel like once you've applied this ampule to your skin, your skin will feel kind of STICKY... And the sticky-ness doesn't go away, even after 5 to 10 minutes of giving it time to absorb... must be that protective barrier thing again. It's just another thing that turns me off with this ampule. I don't like that sticky, heavy, oily feeling after I've applied a product, it makes applying the next steps less appealing and my face just feels so OILY in the end.
Rate (out of 5 stars): ⭐⭐⭐
I would say that this ampule is definitely more for people with DRY to COMBINATION skin, NOT for OILY skin at all. It would just feel to heavy on oily skin-ed people and it's just too moisturizing to keep layering on other products. I'm not saying this is a bad product at all! It did do some of the things I says it would do, so I'm happy that I wasn't misled at all. I do recommend trying this product out though. Who knows, maybe this ampule would work better on your than it did on me.
