Review: Formula 10.0.6 Pores Be Pure Skin-Clarifying Mud Mask

Hi Everyone!

Today, I will be reviewing a face mask. It's certainly not a new face mask, but it's one that I've seen many review over.

I received this mask in a holiday gift set as a present from my sister, so there were actually 2 other face masks in the set (a peeling mask and a cooling gel mask). Out of all 3 masks, I liked this one the best. I didn't even take pictures nor do I plan to make any kind of reviews for the other 2 masks.

They're masks kind of remind me of those super popular and affordable face masks from Freeman Beauty Facial Masks. These masks I have used so many of them, however, I don't think I will be reviewing any of them since I haven't used one in some time.

This is a skin-refining mask that contains a "berry booster" that goes into clogged pores to clear out dirt and excess oils to provide a clean, blemish-free skin. This mask is suppose to refresh tired skin by minimizing pores and removing impurities, making your skin appear brighter, softer and clearer. Strawberry and Rosemary extract are used to eliminate impurities, while Yarrow extract clarifies the skin for instant complexion perfection.

What is Yarrow? I've honestly, never heard of it before. For more information about it, you can go to click on this link.
Yarrow is a plant that has been used as a herbal medicine for things such as supporting the immune system to helping with PMS and digestion. In the world of skincare, it's a natural astringent that can help with breakouts, balance your complexion, calm inflammation and even reduce acne scars. It's a great ingredient to have in skincare products for people who have oily or combination skin.

Suitable for ALL skin types. This mask is VEGAN.

🚨There's a mild tingling or heating sensation when using this face mask This is completely NORMAL🚨

It has a creamy, thick consistency. It has that grey, typical mud color. There is a scent to it, sort of rosemary, but I definitely don't smell strawberry.

Type of Mask: This is a clay/mud mask. It does contain kaolin and bentonite which are both different types of clay.

Size: 1 oz. / 30 mL

Color: Grey

Texture: Thick and creamy. Applies on really smoothly.

Sensations: There is a slight tingling sensation when this mask is applied to the skin. Almost like a tingle/heating-up feeling. Some people may not like this and some people feel like it's painful. After awhile, I don't even notice it anymore.

Fragrance: Has a rosemary smell, I don't smell any strawberry.

Packaging: Comes in a plastic, rubber tube.

Free From: Sulfate and cruelty-free.

Full Ingredients ListWater (Aqua), Kaolin, Bentonite, Stearic Acid, Cetyl Alcohol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glyceryl Stearate, Titanium Dioxide (Cl77891), PEG-20 Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Ceteareth-20, Tocopherol, Fragaria Chiloensis (Strawberry) Fruit Extract, Achillea Millefolium (Yarrow) Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Xanthan Gum, Salicylic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance/Parfum, Methylparaben, Propylparabin, Benzyl Benzoate, Carmine (Cl 75470).

How To Use:
Apply to freshly cleansed and dried skin. Apply a thin coating over face and neck, avoid eye area. Allow mask to dry for 10-15 minutes then rinse thoroughly with warm water. Pat skin dry. Use 1-3 times per week.

How I Use It:
I only used this mask at least once a week. Sometimes I might use it twice, but usually it was only once because I like to mix it up and use different face masks each day for different purposes. However, if there is a day that I do feel particularly grime-y, I would use this mask for sure.
I would apply a layer of the mask onto my skin after I finished taking a shower at night. Leave it on for about 10 minutes, then rinse off with warm water.
Yes, there is a tingling sensation, however, it's not painful and it goes away as your skin adapts to the face mask and as it dries down.

Below are pictures of me using this face mask
This is the before shot as well as how I applied the mask on my face. I had just finished showering, so my skin is all clean after I had doubled cleansed it previously. I like to put small amount of the mask all over my face and then I would massage it all around, spread the mask all over my face.
On the left, I had just finished spreading the mask, so it was still really wet feeling which in turn I was able to still smile. About 10 minutes later, the mask has dried down and harden and I no longer can smile without that tight feeling. When dried down it has a chalky color.
NOTE: There is a tingling sensation in the beginning, however, it slowly does go away as the mask dries down.
AFTER
My skin feel cleared out and clean. I don't feel dry or tight which is great. My skin isn't irritated nor did I break out.

BEFORE
A close-up of my cheek before applying the mask. Again, I had just finished showering, so my skin should be clean already since I do double cleanse at night.
Left: I just applied the face mask. It is still wet on my skin.
Right: About 10 minutes later, the mask has dried down. you can see some spots where my pores are near the bridge of my nose. I feel like it was clearing those areas out more. When dried down, it has a chalky look.
AFTER
My skin looks really different! If you compare to the before picture and look at the skin near the bridge of my nose, under my eyes, you can see the pores look really different! This is also the area I mentioned for when the mask was dried out and it looked like it was working that area more.
My skin looks clear out and great! I don't feel tight or irritated and my skin also looks smoother.

Overall, I really liked this face mask!

As someone with oily skin, this mask is great to use to really get deep into my pores to clear out the oils, grime and dirt that fester throughout the day. Sometimes double cleansing really isn't enough and you need to use a clay mask to help the process along.

I especially notice a different when looking up the close-up pictures I took of my cheeks. I see a transformation of my pores. They do look minimized/non-existent and cleared out. This mask clearly is really effective.

The texture is creamy and thick, therefore, you don't need to squeeze out a bunch to cover a lot of surface area, AKA the bottle will last a little longer.

Some people don't like the tingling sensation that this mask gives off which you first apply it to your skin. Like I said previously, it wasn't a big deal for me. I was able to ignore it and just go along with my night routine. It really just disappears as the mask dries on your skin. And even afterwards, whenever I would use this mask again on another day, I started to not even notice the tingling because I became so used to it and my skin was already so accustomed to it.

Pricewise, this mask is great! It's really affordable and you can definitely get it in a bigger size than the one I had. I know they see full size ones that are 100 mL (3.4 oz.). Again, it's super affordable and they give a lot, so it's worth it.

Rate (out of 5 stars): ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I really liked this mask and would recommend it for anyone. It really gets the job done while being really affordable, checking all the boxes for me.✅✅✅
