Review: Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner

Today we will be discussing the Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner!
This is a highly highly highly award toner! It's been on the number 1 K-beauty toner for many years and lists, the latest one being the 2017 Beauty Shortlist Awards: Best Facial Toner.

Toners are a great thing to start your facial skincare after you have freshly wash your face in the morning or right after a shower. Toners can help balance your skin's pH and get the action started on helping you absorb the rest of your skincare products more efficiently.

This Klairs toner helps to balance the skin's pH level and improve the effectiveness of your entire skincare regime, helping you to achieve your skin's best look. It is a non-irritating toner that will rejuvenate and restore your skin.

This toner absorbs really fast into your skin and doesn't leave a tacky/sticky residue on your skin.

They advertise this toner more for normal/dry/combo/sensitive skin types, however, I find that it is still great for oily skin! Klairs has come out with an UNSCENTED version of this toner with is made without essential oils which they are advertising more for oily/normal/combo/sensitive skin types.

Texture: It has a thick, viscous feel to it. Almost like an essence! It's great because you can either use it on your bare hands or your can go the extra step to put it onto a cotton pad.

Color: It is a CLEAR toner. No coloring added.

Fragrance: Littlely scented. Not strong at all. The scent goes away in a few seconds after the toner has fully absorbed into your skin.

If you are sensitive to fragrances, Klairs has come out with an UNSCENTED, lightweight, moisturizing toner. They recommend this toner for oily/combo/sensitive skin. It's made without essential oils and any harsh ingredients.

Packaging: The scented version comes in a brown plastic bottle. The opening of the toner bottle has the tiny opening, where the toner can come out in little droplets. The unscented version comes in a clear plastic bottle.

As you can see, it is a clear thick, viscous toner!

 How to Use:
After cleansing your face, pour a small amount of toner onto your hands or a cotton pad and pat gently onto your skin. Continue on with the rest of your skincare routine.

How I Use It:
I use this toner BOTH morning and night, right after I finish washing my face or right after my shower, respectively. Since it has such a viscous/thick texture, I never use the cotton pad, I just feel like it's such a waste. Instead, I always drop a few drops of the toner onto my hands, use my finger to dot the toner on my face, then I massage the toner into my face. Once it is fully absorbed into my skin I continue on with the rest of my skincare routine, usually with essence being the next step.

Before: This is how my skin looks after it is freshly cleansed in the morning. No toner is applied yet.

 

During: I have dabbed my face with the toner. Usually in 4 areas: forehead, each cheek, and my chin. I massage it in once I feel that I have placed enough toner on my skin.

After: This is how my skin looks after I have massaged the toner into it.

Overall, I really really REALLY like this toner! I've already gone through TWO bottles of it and I have an extra spare bottle for future use!

It is totally worth the buy, especially for it's price point in my opinion (and I'm a super stingy person to begin with!).

I love that it absorbs into my skin really face so that I can go on with my skincare routine and finish faster. Especially in the mornings when I am rushing out of my house to go to class.

I am not bothered by the fragrance at all, I actually find that I like the smell of this toner. Either way, the smell isn't strong, so it doesn't cause me to get headaches.

I do feel like my skin looks brighter after I use it! I know it's not one of the qualities that it's suppose to have, but I definitely feel like my skin looks brighter after I use this toner. It's also moisturizing! I wouldn't say it's crazy moisturizing that someone with oily skin couldn't use it, so I wouldn't be too worried if you have oily skin! This toner doesn't leave any residue on your skin and it doesn't cause my to become more oily at the end of the day either.

I highly highly HIGHLY recommend this toner for everyone to try! I totally understand why it has won so many rewards and is constantly number 1. It is worth a try and is completely worth the buy, it also gives a very generous amount!
