Review: L'Occitane Immortelle Divine Creme

Hi Everyone!

Today I will be discussing the L'Occitane Immortelle Divine Creme (cream). I got an email a few months ago telling me that I could get a free sample of their new best selling cream if I went into the store and showed them the email. Needless to say, I went and got one and couldn't wait to start using it. In the sample box I received, there was a hand lotion, a shampoo, and this cream (keep in mind that everything was in sample size, AKA minis). I haven't tried the hand lotion or the shampoo yet, but I will eventually get to it in the future.

On the L'Occitane website, they say that this cream is a bestseller and a most loved item that many people like. It's suppose to act on wrinkles, firmness, radiance and evenness.

Description: "Our best-selling, award-winning Immortelle Divine cream helps fight visible signs of aging. With a 5th patent pending, the luxurious, yet miraculously lightweight Divine cream is now better than ever. It combines the organic Immortelle essential oil, rich in molecules that deliver unique antiaging beauty results, with a complex of 7 ingredients of natural origin to give skin the youthful, radiant glow you've always wanted".

It has a 4.7/5 star review on their website⭐

In all honesty, this cream is rather expensive, costing $110. I would NEVER pay that much money for a cream, especially one that doesn't give that much to begin with. I feel like there are many other creams that are probably just as great or even better that aren't as expensive. But if you do think about it, I guess this cream is considered relatively cheap compared to other big prestige brand name creams. However, I won't let the price of this cream affect my overall opinion of the cream.

Due to it's oily-ness in nature, I wouldn't recommend this cream for anyone who has oily skin, unless you are using it during the winter time when skin tends to me more dry. This cream would be great for anyone with dry skin. It's a great cream to use during the winter time due to it's moisturization and oily-ness.

Here's a swatch of the cream. It is a white, creamy and smooth cream. It is definitely on the oily/greasy side. If you look at the close-up of the cream swatch, you can see the edges of the cream that were spread around my hand, see the shiny, greasy look?
If you look at the picture below, I have massage the cream onto my hand and on the area that had the cream, it is shiny and oily looking and feeling. (Might be easier to see if you zoom in.)

How To Use:
Apply in the morning and evening to face and neck and gently massage in. Recommended to apply after the Immortelle Divine Serum.

How I Use It:
I used this cream in the mornings and evenings after I have applied my serum to my face. I dot my face with the cream in 4 areas: forehead, both cheeks, and my chin. Then I gently massaging the cream into my skin. I also like to massage the cream into my neck.
A little cream goes a long way due to it's oily-ness.

Here are some before and after pictures of using the cream. These are from 2 different occasions, maybe about 1 month apart.

Overall, I wasn't a major fan of this cream. While it is good for moisture, I just found it to be too oily for my liking. I don't like that oily/greasy feel on my skin, especially after I had just finished showering or just finished washing my face in the morning. I'd rather feel clean and not slippery.
In the Before/After pictures, I will admit there is a "glow"-ish-ness to my skin after applying this cream, however, this could be attributed to the greasy-ness of the cream instead. I also don't really notice any anti-aging effects from this cream. The wrinkles around my eyes, mouth creases, or nose haven't really lessened. It could be because I only had a sample bottle of the cream, but I feel that if a cream is truly good, you should be able to see at least some sort of result after using it for a while, especially at least after a month of use.
As I stated previously, I believe that this cream would be better for someone with dry skin instead of oily skin. It would also be great to use during the winter time, especially for all skin types. If you have dry skin, then I think this cream would be good for you year-round. It really does add alot of moisture to your skin and can help with any dry areas on the skin.
I am glad that this cream didn't cause me to break out, so I think it would be good for sensitive skinned people too.

Rate (out of 5 stars): ⭐⭐⭐
I would recommend this cream for anyone who has dry skin, not oily skin. I personally just don't like the greasy feel of the cream and I don't see many changes in my skin from this cream either. I also think that price is a factor in my dislike for this cream, being quite expensive not giving a lot of product is just a turn off for me. If I'm paying that much money for a cream, I expect there to be more than 50 mL of product. I would wait till L'Occitane has some sort of event that provides a coupon code to buy this cream instead of just buying it out right at any time.
