Review: Shiseido Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Intensive Eye Contour Cream

Today, I will be reviewing one of my favorite eye creams of all time. I've already used 2 tubs of this amazing eye cream and I would definitely buy it again in the future.

This eye cream is of course the best-selling eye cream that counteracts the appearance of eye-area wrinkles from Shiseido, the Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Intensive Eye Contour Cream. As I've mentioned before in a different post, I absolutely LOVE Shiseido products! They are one of my favorite Japanese Beauty brands and I've never used a product that I didn't love from them.

I got this eye cream as a set from a purchase that I made a while ago. It was a Shiseido Eye Do's set, where it had a bunch of skincare products specifically for the eyes. It was a total steal because it gave other products for only $57, and the eye cream alone usually cost $60.

This is an ultra-rich, anti-aging eye cream that helps to counteract the appearance of 5 types of eye-area wrinkles, crow's feet, corner creases, under eye wrinkles, lid creases and vertical line, by addressing environmental stressors that cause them to appear.

WrinkleResist24 signature powerful ingredients help store smooth, resilient, younger-looking skin around the eyes. The breakthrough WrinkleResist24 technology - formulated with chlorella, mukurossi, and gambir extracts - visibly smooths and restores, while burnet extract visibly firms. Texture: Light and creamy, smooth

Absorbency: It absorbs quickly into the skin. There is a slight greasy look when first applied, but once it is fully absorbed into the skin, the greasy look goes away.

White-cast: None

Fragrance: There is a distinct floral smell to it. It's not exactly really flower-y, kind of just the distinct Shiseido smell

How To Use: 

Apply every morning and night as the final step of your skincare regimen.

How I Use It:

I use this eye cream both morning and night right before I apply my face cream/moisturizer. I lightly dab the cream under my eye and use my ring finger to gently dab the cream all over my eyes, including applying onto my eyelids. I used to have crow's feet, so I like to concentrate my light dabbing at the outer corners of my eyes.

Below are BEFORE/AFTER picture of me using this cream. The beginning is literally the first day I tried the cream. The last 4 pictures are 4 months after I had started using the cream.

BEFORE

I did 2 sets of pictures. One where my face and eyes are relaxed and one where I am smiling so that you can see my eye wrinkles crinkle. You can see I have wrinkles both under my eyes and at my outer corners. I have some minor crow's feet at the outer corners. The skin under my eyes look dry, thin, and deflated.

DURING

This is how I apply my eye cream. I dab a little but under my eye and then use my ring finger to gently tap it upwards all over my eye.

AFTER

This is how my skin around my eyes looks after gently tapping the eye cream around my eyes. It immediately looks smoother and moisturized. The under eye skin looks plumper, less thin and deflated look. The outer corner eye skin also looks more plumped than it did before applying the eye cream.

4 MONTHS LATER

AFTER

This is how the skin around my eyes look after using this cream both morning and night for 4 months. The little minor crow's feet I had on my outer corner of my eyes are essentially gone!!! It's amazing! My skin still looks moisturized and plump, especially at the under eyes. If you look at the upper 2 pictures where I am not smiling, I feel like there are less deep wrinkles on my under eyelids.

Overall, I completely understand why this eye cream is a best-selling cream by Shiseido. I absolutely love this cream, as I've stated before, I've already used 2 tubs of this! I would 100% buy this cream again and recommend it to everyone. I am completely obsessed with this Benefiance WrinkleResist24 line they have going on.

I love that it is so great at fighting wrinkles around the eyes. It's anti-aging, anti-wrinkle properties are great. I love the ingredients. It's super hydrating. Providing the need moisture I need for the skin around my eyes, giving them a plumper, smoother look. I know initially it looks kind of greasy, but once the eye cream is fully absorbed in, the greasy look is gone.

I honestly noticed a difference on the wrinkles around my eyes and so did my sister. This cream probably could've lasted me even longer than 4 months if I wasn't sharing it with my sister. A little cream goes a long way! You don't need to grab a lot to cover your eyes and fully moisturize them while also getting all the great benefits.

I think the only bad thing about this cream is the price. Since it only gives 15 mL, which I feel is really little, $60 is a lot of an eye cream. The only reason I bought the eye cream this time was because it came as a set and also provided other products in the set. If there's ever a sale going on or some sort of coupon that I can use, I would definitely go and buy this eye cream again.
