Review: Shiseido Benefiance WrinkleResist 24 Night Cream

A couple of weeks ago I reviewed the Shiseido Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Eye Cream, an eye cream that I absolutely love! Today, I will review the Night Cream that is part of the Benefiance WrinkleResist24 line. In some of the pictures you will see I have 2 different packagings. The smaller one is the one I was actually using. The bigger tub is one that I already owned and finished used the previous year.

I got the smaller tub of night cream as part of a set I got as a Christmas present. In this set, it had the eye cream and a bunch of other anti-aging products that I have all really liked so far.

As I've stated before, I absolutely LOVE Shiseido products, like all of the skincare products! I also eyeball their makeup, but haven't tried any of them yet. Shiseido is a leading brand in Japanese beauty and I totally understand craziness about using their products. I'm a huge fan of many Japanese skincare products. The only downside is the price of many of their products, they tend to be quite expensive.

This is what the big full-size product looks like! It's already empty because I finished using it the early last year. I really like the packaging and I like to re-use bottles and tubs by filling them with other products for traveling.

This is the Shiseido Eye Do's gift set that I received. I have already reviewed two other products from this set on my blog.

Information from Shiseido:
This is an age-defying nighttime cream that intensively addresses visible lines and wrinkles before they become more serious. This extra-rich cream offers a visible reduction in the appearance of wrinkles, while promoting overnight recovery for silky smooth skin by morning. Pampers skin with intensive moisture for plump-looking smooth skin.

Contains Shiseido's WrinkleResist24 technology, formulated with Chlorella Extract, Mukurossi Extract, and Gambir Extract, which helps to prevent the appearance of wrinkles. Also has Super Bio-Hyaluronic Acid and Hydroxyproline to help smooth and improve the look of wrinkles.

Key Ingredients:
  • Super Bio-Hyaluronic Acid N: replenishes skin with rich moisture
  • WrinkleResist24 technology: formulated with Chlorella Extract, Mukurossi Extract and Gambir Extract - helps to prevent the appearance of wrinkles.
    • Chlorella is a form of algae packed with vitamins. Chlorella has the most chlorophyll (which has many wellness benefits) out of the plant world and is rich in antioxidants. Has significant levels of vitamins B, magnesium and zinc, which help calm skin inflammation and promote healthy functioning.
    • Mukurossi Extract, comes from Soapberries. These berries help alleviate skin problems such as psoriasis, eczema, and acne. Mukurossi extract is also antibacterial, antifungal, and antimicrobial.
    • Gambir Extract are from the sap of the plant named Uncaria gambier. It is high in antioxidants. In skincare, it is often used as acne medications relievers and black spots. Gambir extract is also great in overcoming signs of skin aging, providing a firmer and fresher looking skin.
Shiseido has done some research/testing with this night cream on 116 women after 4 weeks, here are the results:

✨Approximately 94% felt it maintains healthy skin
✨Approximately 92% felt it improves skin's overall condition

This night cream is Dermatologist-tested.
They market it for DRY skin, but I think it would be fine for ALL skin types. I have oily skin and it worked well for me.

Here's a close-up of what the cream looks like. It's rich and creamy. Really smooth and glides on well. It's not heavy is thick feeling at all.

It's a light pink color, like a very light pastel pink.

Size:
  • Travel: 18 mL
  • Full-size: 50 mL / 1.8 oz.

Color: Light pastel pink

Fragrance: There is a light floral scent. I don't think it's horrible at all and I actually really love the smell of this cream. It just smells like something that is really luxurious.

Great for:
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Dryness

Absorbency: Absorbs well into the skin and fast. It almost feels like once you apply it, it's slightly oily, but after a few minutes, the cream becomes fully absorbed and it's not oily anymore.

Texture: It's rich and creamy, not thick at all. It glides on the skin and is lightweight.

Application: A little cream goes a long way! I noticed with Shiseido products that I never have to use a lot to cover my face. This is great because it makes the products last longer and feel more worth it.

  • Full-size: Comes in a glass tub, has a nice reflective lid
Accessories: Comes with a plastic spatula to help with application. I don't personally use it, but some people might like to use it for hygienic reasons.

How To Use:
Smooth over face each evening after cleansing and softening skin.

How I Use It:
I use this cream both day and night. I don't really use a specialized "Day Cream" that contains SPF because I like to just sure a moisturizer and regular sunscreen. Therefore, I end up using my "Night Cream" for both mornings and nights. Also, I can save money this way by not having to get two different creams for basically the same purpose.
I use it after I have applied a serum to my face. I like to dot my face with the cream, a little goes a long way! Then I gently massage the cream into my skin.

I notice that after the application of this cream, my skin feels softer, smoother, and brighter. I feel like I get this healthy glow after using this cream and I really like the way my skin feels and looks after using it.

In the close-up, you can see that my skin looks brighter with a health glowing look to it after applying the night cream. My skin is also nicely moisturized and soft feeling.


I LOVE this night cream! As you can see from the pictures above, I have bought the full-size tub of this night cream before. The Eye Do's set having this night cream in it was a major plus in my eyes and I'm so happy to have gotten to use it again.

This rich and luxurious cream noticeably plumps the skin, making fine lines look softer in the morning. With continued use of this night cream, the anti-wrinkle ingredients help to boost collagen and elastin in your skin, creating firmer looking skin.
I like that you don't need to take a lot of the cream in order to cover your entire face. This makes the cream last longer, making it more worth the price if you buy the full-size.
I know some people might not like the floral smell of this cream, but I really like it. It sort of just a classic Shiseido smell.

This cream moisturizes my skin really well and doesn't make me feel oily. As an oily skin type person, I really appreciate that this cream doesn't cause me to break out and doesn't make me feel oily. My skin definitely looks and feels healthier after using this cream. There's just this brightening and healthy glow look to my skin whenever I use this cream.

I do feel like it has helped me with my minor fine lines and wrinkles that I have on my face. I know I'm only 23 years old, but it is never too late to start working on preventative anti-aging skincare.

Review: COSRX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner

Hi Everyone! I will be discussing a very popular toner by COSRX. This is the AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner . The main reason I bought this toner to begin with was because I saw a review, I don't remember by who, that said they used this toner and noticed a big difference in their skin.
