Review: Pharmaact Deep Cleansing Oil

Hi Everyone!

Today I will be reviewing a cleansing oil that I bought from Taiwan.
As you might know, I went to Taiwan in April and stayed until May. I brought my own cleansing oil there, however, I finished it and needed to buy a new one. I was walking around and I went into a popular Japanese beauty/drugstore and saw this cleansing oil that gives a LOT (400 mL) for only about 200NT (~$6.50).

Cleansing oil are a great first step in removing makeup and dirt from your face. I'm a big fan or cleansing oils over cleansing balms, and this one was a great one! While this isn't a brand new cleansing oil, it's been out in the market for a while, it isn't hugely well known which is why I only recently found saw it in Taiwan. Even now, you won't really find it in the US unless you buy it online.

Description from Yesstyle.com:
Cleanse your face free from makeup and dirt with this convenient cleansing oil. It can be used in the bath with wet hands and face.

This cleansing oil is made in Japan.

This cleansing oil is clear and colorless. It has a thick texture.

Size: 400 mL

pH: I don't know the exact pH level of this cleansing oil, but it is reported to be weaky acidic.

Color: Clear and Colorless

Fragrance: There is a slight fragrance, it kind of reminds me of bananas.

Texture: It has a light, silky, and thick texture. It's not exactly like oil, it doesn't have that same thickness. There isn't any kind of sticky feeling.

Packaging: Comes in a sturdy pink plastic bottle.

Mechanism: This is a pump bottle cleansing oil.

Free From: Sulfate, Alcohol

Does Contain: Paraben, Silicone, and Mineral Oil

Full Ingredients ListMineral oil, PEG-8 glyceryl isostearate, water, glycerin, dimethicone, citric acid, jojoba oil, squalane, ethyl paraben, perfume

How To Use:
Dispense a generous amount to palm and gently massage skin in a circular motion over dry or damp face to remove makeup. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and follow with regular face wash. For best result, use on dry skin.

How I Use It:
I use this cleansing oil at night when I'm in the shower. I use 1 pump to cover both my face and my neck. Making sure my skin is dry, I gently massage the cleansing oil all over. If I'm wearing makeup, I'll use an extra pump for my eyes. Once I think I've massage the cleansing oil enough and my face is clear, I rinse my face with warm water.
Honestly, 1 pump from this cleansing oil is more than enough, but I use that extra pump to focus more on my eyes to make sure I fully remove all my makeup.

Below, I tested out how well this cleansing oil removes makeup on my hand and on my eyes.

***#5 Was from ALMAY (it did auto-correct and changed it to Almost and I didn't notice, sorry)***

You can see that the cleansing oil is thick in texture, but it still has a runny-ness to it, causing it to run down my hand.

I massaged the cleansing oil around the makeup. You can still clearly see the Macqueen Liquid Eyeliner.

I rinsed the cleansing oil off, I didn't dry my hand so it's still watery. You can clearly still see the Macqueen Liquid Eyeliner. I would like to note that when I was doing this trial, I didn't rub excessive or too hard, I feel that I was being really gentle.

Here, I am testing out the cleansing oil on removing my eye makeup.

I have eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara on. I've had this makeup on for at least 9 hours.

I had gently massaged the cleansing oil on my eyes. (Please excuse the look of my eyes to being squeezed. Cleansing oil was slowly seeping into my eyes.)

After I rinsed off the cleansing oil with water, all my makeup was completely removed.

Overall, I like this cleansing oil!

I will be completely honest. When I first bought it in Taiwan and was using it in Taiwan to cleansing my skin, I actually HATED it. My sister, who was using it along with me, liked it, but I really hated it. I felt that it wasn't removing all my makeup and that I was always left with a bunch of leftover makeup on my eyes. Literally, the whole time I used this cleansing oil in Taiwan, I HATED it. I just couldn't wait to finish it.

However, when I came back to the US and continued to use it, I found that I started to change my mind! Suddenly, the cleansing oil was becoming amazing! It was removing all my makeup and my skin was feeling very clean.

I have no idea what changed, but now I completely like this cleansing oil! It really does do amazing work on removing my makeup. For the price and the amount given, this cleansing oil is a massive steal.Online the price for this cleansing oil is still really inexpensive while still giving a substantial amount.

From the pictures above, it looks like the cleansing oil didn't remove my liquid eyeliner well from my hand. This is odd for me because usually this cleansing oil is able to fully remove everything on my skin on the first try.

People with sensitive skin might not like this cleansing oil because it DOES contain mineral oil. However, I've found that even though it does contain mineral oil, it didn't cause me to breakout and I've seen many reviews that also say good things about this cleansing oil as well.

For me, this cleansing oil is non-irritating and non-stripping. My skin never feels dry or stretched out from using it. It does an amazing job at removing all traces of my makeup and sunscreen.

Rate (out of 5 stars): ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is a great cleansing oil! I'm so happy I took a chance and bought it in Taiwan. It was a total steal with the massive amount it gives and it wasn't even $10 when converted into US Dollars. Even in the US, you can find affordable prices for this cleansing oil. It's really good at removing makeup and my face always feels clean after using it. Definitely try it out!
