Review: Abib Gummy Sheet Mask Madecassoside Sticker

Hi Everyone!

Continuing on with my reviews of the Abib sheet masks, this week I will be reviewing a different type of sheet mask by Abib, the Gummy sheet masks. I actually still have one more of the Mild Acidic pH Sheet Masks to review, but I have gotten to it yet. I'll try to review soon.

*I received this sheet mask for free from Skin Library in return for my honest review.* If you are interested in checking out other sheet masks available on Skin Library, click on this link. If you want to see more product from Abib specifically, click on this link.

The purpose of this Madecassoside Sticker Sheet Mask is to provide relief to dry skin and reinforce the skin's protective barrier against external stimuli. The moisturizing essence that soaks this sheet mask provides a cooling effect to the skin, reducing redness and irritation to the skin.

This sheet mask is part of Abib's Gummy sheet mask line. It's made of microfiber to allow better adhesion and improve the delivery of active ingredients to the skin.
The absorption rate of active ingredients in sheet masks depend on the sheet's adhesion to your skin. This mask tightly seals to your face, allowing your skin to effectively absorb the product (essence) into your skin, making the sheet feel like a second layer to your skin.

Star Ingredient: Madecassoside
The main ingredient of this regenerating essence is the Madecassoside, which helps to strengthen the moisturizing membrane that keeps skin calm and self-preserved while maintaining healthy skin from external stimuli. It has the ability to promote collagen production and improving skin elasticity.

Here's a close up of the material of the sheet mask. You can see the mask itself is really thin. It's a really thin, soft cotton-like material - it's actually made of microfiber.

Main Purpose: Moisturizing & Soothing Care

Size: 27 mL / 1.01 oz.

Color: The sheet mask is white and the essence is clear.

Fragrance: There is a fragrance to this sheet mask, coming from the essence, but I don't really know how to describe it. Maybe this is the scent of madecassoside?

Texture: The sheet mask is really soft and thin. The essence is runny.

Material: The material of the sheet mask is microfiber and is NOT stretchy at all.

Fit: The holes of this sheet mask do NOT fit my face well. They're too small and don't really align with my eyes or mouth.

Star Ingredient: Madecassoside

How I Use It:
I used this sheet mask at night, at the end of my skincare routine after I had finished taking a shower. I took the sheet mask out of its pack and tried my best to align the holes with my eyes and mouth (unsuccessfully). I left the sheet mask on for 20 minutes, spending this time laying on my back on my bed while messing around on my phone.
Once enough time as passed, I removed the sheet mask and applied the excess essence all over my face and neck and let it absorb overnight.

Below are pictures of me trying out this sheet mask
From Top to Bottom: You can see I have a progression of photos, from before, once I applied the mask, 20 minutes after I've had the mask on, after I took the mask off, and once I was finished, I applied the excess essence all over.
Overall, I did feel a cooling sensation when I had the mask on. It had a really refreshing feel when I had it on. I didn't really feel any sort of tingling or anything really bad.
The sheet mask was only slightly moisturizing, but not really much. It is really soothing which feels nice on the skin.
From Top to Bottom: Here's a close-up of my left cheek. From beginning to end, you can see in the 20 minutes later photo of when I took the mask off, there was some new redness to my skin, almost like an irritation rash. At first I thought I was having an allergic reaction to the sheet mask. However, once I applied the excess essence all over, I noticed that the redness went away and the irritated rash wasn't from the essence of the sheet mask, but came from the irritation of having the sheet mask on my face. In the pictures of the Excess Applied, you can see the redness has essentially disappeared.
From Top to Bottom: Here is a close-up of my right cheek. After I removed the sheet mask after having leaving the mask on for 20 minutes, I noticed there was an irritation rash on my cheek. It wasn't itchy is anything. Once I applied the excess essence onto my skin, I realized the irritation was from the material of the sheet mask being on my face and not an allergic reaction to the sheet mask or the essence.
Here are close-up photos of my forehead from using the sheet mask. There really isn't much of a change from using the sheet mask seen here, besides having added minimal moisture to my skin. There hasn't been any redness or irritation seen on my forehead.

Overall, this was a nice sheet mask, but it wasn't any remarkable. While it is really soothing and feels nice on the skin, I feel like there aren't really any life-changing results from using this sheet mask.

I do like that the material felt so soft. Again, it's made of microfiber. However, it's not stretchy, so I wasn't able to stretch the mask to try and make it fit my face. The holes just weren't really working out for my eyes and mouth and the edges of the holes of the mask were irritating my eyes because of the poor fit.
The sheet mask is also really thin. I noticed this mask is much thinner than the Mild Acidic pH Sheet Mask from the other ones that I've tried from Abib. It's a nice feature because it's easier to forget/notice that I have a sheet mask on my face because of how thin it is.

There is a scent to this sheet mask. I don't really know how to describe it, so like I said previously, I'm assuming this must be the smell of madecassoside. It is a nice light smell, not overpowering or headache-causing.

After leaving the mask on for 20 minutes, throughout the time of the mask on my face, it felt really refreshing and cooling. I didn't feel any other kind of sensations or tingling. Good news is I didn't have an allergic reaction. There was some redness, irritation caused by having the sheet mask on my face and it must have just irritated my skin. However, once I took the mask off, the redness went away and didn't last. It even felt really good when I applied the excess essence to my skin, the cooling feeling of the essence really helped to tone down the redness from the irritation of the sheet mask on my face.

I wouldn't say there was a major change in the reduction of redness on my face, but I do think there might have been some minor reduction in inflammation from the skin issues I had before the irritation caused by the sheet mask.. However, I will say the excess essence did help reduce redness and inflammation from the irritation I felt from the sheet mask.

The essence from the sheet mask isn't really moisturizing. I find that it only added a light layer of moisture to my face. I think overall, while anyone can use it, don't expect a lot of moisture from this mask. If you have dry skin, it definitely won't be enough for you. If you have oily skin like me, it's only a light layer, not enough, so you'll definitely need a moisturizer in your skincare routine.

Rate (out of 5 stars): ⭐⭐⭐
It's a nice sheet mask, but again it's not life changing and I don't think it's worth the money to repeat buy and use. I think dry skin people won't think it's moisturizing enough, but oily skin people will think it's a nice layer of light moisture during hot seasons.
