Review: Missha Misa Geum Sul Vitalizing Eye Cream

Hi Everyone!
I don't think I've ever reviewed an eye cream on here before, so this will be my first one!
I got this eye cream as a Birthday/Christmas present in 2017 from my sister and used it for about 3-4 months and I must say, I LOVE it.
This Missha eye cream is by far one of my favorite eye creams that I have ever used and the price is a LOT cheaper than some of those prestige big brand names. I am partial to the Shiseido eye creams, however because of their price range, it's not always possible for me to use. This is a great alternative eye cream in my opinion.

This premium oriental medicine eye cream treats fine wrinkles and dullness around the eye area for youthful-looking skin. Has a dual function of wrinkle care and brightening.

Wrinkle Care: Fermented ginseng water and other wrinkle-fighting ingredients treat deep wrinkles to create healthier, revitalized skin.
  • Ginseng water: improves overall skin health

Brightening Care: Wild Ginseng, Deer Antler, & Reishi Mushroom extracts and other brightening ingredients help to brighten dark areas around the eyes.
  • 25% Wild Ginseng, Deer Antler, & Reishi Mushoom extract: revitalizes skin.
    • No harm was done in the process of obtaining the deer antler extract.

Firming Care: Fermented Phellinus Linteus and Ginseng extract help improve skin's elasticity creating firmer skin.
  • Phellinus Linetus & Ginseng extract: increases elasticity to delicate eye area
~ Ardisia Crenata Extract: Protects skin, prevents further damage.

On the Missha website, here are some recommendations they suggests for the use of this eye cream:
  • Those in their late 30's and up --> Obviously I didn't follow this and I don't think it's necessary. I think you should start using eye creams as soon as possible and age ranges shouldn't matter.
  • Those looking to treat deepening, worsening wrinkles
  • Those looking to firm sagging skin and improve elasticity around the eyes
  • Those affected by dulling skin tone or dark circles around the eyes
  • Those looking for a rich, nourishing formula to treat the delicate eye area
Can we all just take a moment to admire the packaging of this eye cream?!?!?!
How BEAUTIFUL is this eye cream?!
Literally one of the most beautiful bottles that I have out of all of my skincare products.
It looks so majestic and high-class, makes me feel like I spent hundreds of dollars on it when the usual price isn't even over $50.

Size: 1.01 oz. or 30 mL

Color: Peachy, light tan color. Contains same flecks of gold.

Texture: creamy and smooth. Glides on the skin really well.

Absorbability: Absorbs into the skin well, not super fast but doesn't sit on the skin like a mask. Very moisturizing.

Fragrance: I don't really notice a smell, but I usually only use a small amount each time, therefore, the smell isn't a big deal.

Packaging: The packaging is BEAUTIFUL. I LOVE the lid, it's so magnificent. It looks so high class and prestigious, makes me feel like I spent over $100 on it when really the price isn't even close to $50. It's in a plastic bottle that has a shiny outer gold coloring, very reflective.

Great for ALL skin types!!!! Great for ALL seasons!!!

Here's a swatch of the eye cream. You can see a fleck of the gold pieces. I'm not 100% sure if it really is gold, I looked at the ingredients and I couldn't see any mentioning of it and the Missha website doesn't describe it either, but I'm just going with what I think. These gold flecks definitely help with the whole brightening of the skin effect.
The texture is really smooth and creamy. Not oily at all and is very moisturizing.

How To Use:
Apply morning and night after lotion; use the provided spatula and apply desired amount around the eye area; use fingertips to gently pat in product to absorb.
~~~Can also be applied around to wrinkles around the lips.
Here are some steps suggested from the Missha website:
  1. Use index & middle fingers to massage temples in a circular motion, 3 to 4 times, to loosen muscles.
  2. Apply eye cream starting from the inner corners of the eye to the outer corners, using ring fingers to lightly pay in product.
  3. Using ring fingers, gently push under the inner corners, below the pupils and the outer corners, repeat twice.
  4. Apply eye cream to the eyelids, and gently smooth on from the inner corners to the outer corners.
  5. Apply light pressure to eyebrow heads for 3 seconds using ring fingers.
  6. Apply eye cream to the temples and apply light pressure to the end massage.
How I Use It:
I use this eye cream morning and night at the end of the my skincare routine, except in the morning I would use this BEFORE I apply sunscreen.
I like to use my ring finger to lightly dab the cream from the under eyelid, starting from the inner corners and moving towards the outer corner. I light to focus more of the eye cream on my outer corners because I used to have crow's feet wrinkles there. I also lightly dab or just massage/tap the cream onto my upper eyelid.
I NEVER full on rub the cream onto the eyes, instead, I always apply eye cream by taping it onto my skin, light taps until it is fully incorporated into my skin.
BEFORE
Dabbing the eye cream around my under eyelid, then I would lightly tap it into my skin and also tap upwards onto my upper eyelids.
You can see the small gold flecks in the cream on my skin, at the outer corner of my eye.
AFTER
Overall, I LOVE this eye cream.
If you look at the Before/After pictures, you can visibly see that the skin looks brighter and less dull. I truly believe that this cream helped reduce my eye wrinkles! I used to have quite a few crow's feet wrinkles around my outer eye area, however, after using this eye cream, I've noticed that the wrinkles have lessen or some have even disappeared all together!
It is a really smooth, creamy texture, not hard to apply all over the eye at all. I will admit that the little gold flecks take some extra tapping to fully absorb in, but once it does, it really does give the skin that extra glow.
On another note, lets not forget the packaging of the gorgeous eye cream! Seriously, this bottle is literally probably my most beautiful bottle that I have ever acquired from using skincare products.
Rate (out of 5 stars): ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Highly, Highly, HIGHLY recommend everyone trying this eye cream out! I absolutely love it and I have already bought a spare one of it! I see a big difference every time I use it and you can literally see the glow-y, brightening effect of this eye cream. It is totally worth the buy, it works just like any prestige big brand name eye cream.
