Review: Klavuu Pure Pearlsation Revitalizing Facial Cleansing Foam

Hi Everyone!

Today, I will be reviewing a very popular face cleanser. I was first introduced to this cleanser by Sokoglam when they had just curated this product for their website. I remember seeing SOOOO many people raving about how great this cleanser is and Sokoglam also gave it glowing reviews. I didn't buy mine from Sokoglam, instead I got it on Yesstyle when it was on sale (I definitely think Sokoglam is a little overpriced).

Klavuu is a brightening solution line, caring from brightening to early elastic. It's created by combining a pearl that is born based on the power of the sea and life, and 33 seaweed complexes.
This cleanser is part of Klavuu's Pure Pearlsation line, which was developed to provide your skin with a brighter, more luminous complexion. It's a cleansing line that effectively and efficiently works at removing makeup while also rejuvenating the skin underneath.

From Sokoglam:
This creamy cleansing foam features over 30 natural plant extracts to help remove all remaining traces of makeup and dissolve impurities your oil cleanser may have missed. Pearl extract brightens and provides anti-aging benefits while seaweed and algae extract boosts hydration.

Pearl Powder is known to help reduce dark spots and improve skin tone, reduce discoloration and naturally brighten skin.
  • Conchiolin, the key ingredient of a pearl, helps skin stay hydrated and locks in moisture.
  • Collagen, another important element of the pearl, helps naturally strengthen your skin's vitality.
Kelp Extract: Used for strong moisturizing and soothing effects
Enteromorpha Compressa Extract: Used to improve skin conditioning

For people:
  • Who are looking for a low irritant cleanser
  • Who want to perfectly remove heavy makeup and impurities in the pores
  • Who want a soft voluptuous foam

How To Use:
Dispense a moderate amount into your hand. Add water and lather. Massage onto face and neck, avoid eye area. Rinse with water.

How I Use it:
I used this cleanser is my morning face cleanser. I would wet my face and then squeeze however much I feel I need to cover my face. Gently massaging and lathering the cleanser all over my face until it creates a dense foam and deeply cleans my pores and face. Once I feel that I'm clean enough, I rinse my face with warm water, then continue on with my morning skincare routine.

Below are pictures of me using this cleanser on my face and seeing how well it removes makeup
Left to Right: Before, During & After
I'm washing my face in the morning, so my face is currently covered in the skincare I had on overnight as well as any oils and sweet that I may have accumulated.
The cleanser creates a dense white foam that lathers up really well and gets deep into my pores. After washing off, my face feels and looks clean. My skin has a lightly moisturized feel, soft to touch, and looks a little brighter.
Top to Bottom: Before, During & After
Here's a close-up of my right cheek. You can see a dense white foam is created when lathering this cleanser with water. Afterwards, my skin doesn't look stretched or tight. My pores look clear.
Here's a close-up of my left cheek. My cheek looks and feels clean. There's sort of an added brightness or maybe a less dull look to my cheek after washing off the cleanser. Again, skin doesn't look right or stretched.
Here's a close-up of my nose. I wanted to show and see if there was any difference to the pores on my nose when using this cleanser. Overall, I just have nice, clean pores which is all that matters.
Here's a close-up of my forehead. The main thing to see here is that the cleanser washed off anything that was on my skin (the main goal) and it added a light brightness/less dullness to my skin as well.

Here's the test results of the cleanser removing makeup
1. Almay Eyeshadow - Unapologetic
2. Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara
3. Ulta Dual Ended Pencil Eyeliner
4. Macqueen Waterproof Gel Pencil Eyeliner - Brown
5. Macqueen Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner
I have lathered the cleanser over the makeup with water. You can see it pretty much already removed everything except for the Macqueen Waterproof Gel Pencil Eyeliner and a little bit of the Macqueen Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner.
After washing off the cleanser, all the makeup came off. If you look closely, you can see the skin of my hand is red because I was scrubbing/rubbing quite hard to fully remove the gel eyeliner. Overall, it was able to remove all the makeup, but it takes a little extra work to remove waterproof makeup (but it is able to).

Overall, I do like this cleanser, but I hate the smell. However, I am willing to overlook the smell and continue using it and maybe even buying it again in the future. But I do take into consideration that there are also many other cleansers that are just as good or better and don't have e such a disgusting makeup smell.

As a face cleanser, this cleansing foam is great. My face feels thoroughly cleaned after using it and my skin feels great afterwards. The dense foam really does go into all the nooks and crannies of your face, cleaning and removing all impurities. My skin also feels lightly moisturized, softer, and light brighter/less dull after using it.

As makeup remover, it's adequate enough, but there are definitely other cleansers that are better. It's able to remove all makeup, but it does take extra work to fully remove the waterproof gel and liquid eyeliner I had on. This wouldn't be ideal since I would never rub that much or put that much effort of removing my makeup from my face. When I say this, I mean I would never use this much force on my face that I needed to in order to remove the makeup from my hand. Making this cleanser a little more unrealistic for me as a makeup remover and better as just a typical facial cleanser.

Rate (out of 5 stars): ⭐⭐⭐⭐
It's a good cleanser, but I hate the smell. I would use this more as a morning face cleanser when I don't have makeup on. Great for all skin types and doesn't irritate my skin.
