Review: MACQUEEN Waterproof Pen Eyeliner

   Hello Everyone! Have you ever heard of the brand name Macqueen? I sure haven't. I was on yesstyle.com looking through the beauty sales and I saw this eyeliner as a "Most Popular" product and it had great reviews. The prices was SO CHEAP and good reviews, so I threw caution to the wind and bought myself one. 

  I am pretty minimum when it comes to make-up. I usually only use eyeliner and mascara. Occasionally, if the event calls for it, I'll wear some lipstick and possibly some concealer. I know I have acne/pimples on my face, but I just don't really like putting too much make-up on my face. I guess I like my natural look, even if my natural look isn't away my best look.

This is how the packaging looked. It's pretty much a standard liquid pen eyeliner. Tell you the truth, after looking at my packaging and looking at the packaging online, on Yesstyle.com, I'm pretty sure I got the wrong eyeliner. Some sort of knock-off version that is NOT Macqueen.

If you look closely at the brush of the eyeliner, there are fibers that are already distorted! However, the brush is soft, not rough or hard.

Here, I did a swatch on my hand, so far so good! It is pretty pigmented, went on really smoothly.

BAD NEWS!!! There is basically NO ink in the tube! I couldn't even get a full eye of eyeliner on! It went on really weakly and I had to keep going over the same area over and over just to even get some black color onto my eye.

   I tried to get more ink out of the eyeliner. I shook the tube downward to push the ink out and I swatched onto my hand again. STILL not that great. I tried just doing more shakes and swatches on my hand to get the ink out of the tube and NADA! You can literally see that the swatches are getting progressive WORSE as I keep shaking to try and get more ink out. In the red circles, I was trying to emphasize that small black bits were starting to come out of the eyeliner brush! I know it's kind of hard to see, but it is there! I find this GROSS. Why are there black bits coming off to begin with?!?!

  

   I wiped my hand with some tissue paper to see if any residue came off with the eyeliner. I don't think I need to say anymore...

Look how disgusting that is! So much black residue come off of my hand! and that was only 1 side of the tissue! There was MORE residue ALL OVER the paper... Imagine if I was able to get more eyeliner onto my eye! This black residue would smudge ALL OVER my eyelid!

Overall, I do NOT like this eyeliner AT ALL!!! I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I don't know if it's because I really DID get a knock-off and Yesstyle.com sent me the wrong eyeliner, or it could just be that this eyeliner was from a bad batch, especially since there were SO MANY good reviews online... But, I do not like it at all. 

I couldn't even get 1 full eye of eyeliner. I know it looks pretty decent in photo, but up close in-person it was NOT good at all.

I also do NOT like how there was so much black residue coming from the eyeliner when I wiped my hand with some tissue paper. AND there were weird black bits coming off of the brush of the eyeliner.

Tell you the truth, I actually feel like even giving it 1 star is being a little too generous... This was not a good eyeliner at all. I would not recommend it to friends or family.
