Review: Secret Key - Skinny Real Quick Eye Liner (Renewal)

This is PART 2 of my eyeliner review, continuing from last times eyeliner review.
After the disaster of the MacQueen eyeliner, where I didn't even have a full eye of eyeliner, I went in and used this other eyeliner that I had bought from Yesstyle.com at the same time that I bought the MacQueen eyeliner.
This eyeliner is the Secret Key - Skinny Real Quick Eye Liner (Renewal). Tell you the truth I don't really know if  the "Renewal" makes that much of a difference, it could just be for naming purposes. I bought this eyeliner because there was some sort of make-up sale on Yesstyle.com at the time and this eyeliner was one of the "Most Popular" ones and it was REALLY CHEAP (which is always very good in my opinion). Also, since I am a gold member, there was an additional 10% off on the product, so that brought the price down little more.
I am happy to say that for this eyeliner I'm 100% sure I got the correct and real product! The packing looks exactly the same as what is seen online.

The color I bought was Black.
There are 2 colors& Black.

On Yesstyle.com the description for this eyeliner is: "Fine-tipped liquid eyeliner makes it easy to create and control eye definition. Smudge-proof formula allows buildable yet well-defined and precise smooth strokes to create more eye drama."
It has a 97.3% approval rating from customers and 4.5 Stars out of 81 reviews.

I swatched the eyeliner on my hand. The pigment is pretty good, it's a nice black. However, I wouldn't say this is the blackest-black that I've ever had for an eyeliner.

The brush is nice, more of a synthetic material, not made from a real brush. It isn't hard, so it doesn't pull on the skin of my eyes, which is good because then you'd have less chances of creating wrinkles. The tip is very bend-y, making it easier to make that wing-tip eyeliner look. It is also a thin tip, but not like super thin... does that make sense?
However, I do notice that she have to first SHAKE the eyeliner to get the ink to the end and ALWAYS store your eyeliners upside down so that the ink is always towards the opening. The bad news is, whenever I'm using this eyeliner, in the middle of using it I always have to re-swatch the eyeliner onto the back of my hand or onto a tissue paper just to push/pull more ink out of the bottle. It's kind of like the brush is running out of ink really fast so you have to continuously work the tube to get the ink out to do your make-up.

Here is the finished look! I basically always do the wing-tipped eyeliner kind of look, rarely do I even do bottom eyeliner. If I do, do the bottom eyeliner, I would never use a liquid eyeliner, usually a pencil eyeliner or a gel pencil eyeliner.

As you can see, the color is nice and the eyeliner looks smooth. I do agree that this eyeliner is BUILDABLE! When I say buildable, I mean that sometimes you have to go back over the eyeliner area that you've already done and when you go back, it doesn't mess up or take of the eyeliner that was originally there so that nothing is left. Therefore, this eyeliner is buildable because you can continuously go over areas you've already done and still your previous eyeliner present.
Is it just me or does it look kind of shiny...? Maybe it's the lighting.

Another thing I always look at when I use a eyeliner and how well you can take off the eyeliner when you are putting it on. I'm NOT a perfect person, so whenever I use eyeliner, I am bound to mess up in some areas. Therefore, it is super important for me to find an eyeliner that I can easily take off the area that I messed up on with a Q-tip. Usually I like to use water, however, for some of the more water-proof eyeliners, I would dip my Q-tip into some thick/creamy lotion and use that to remove the mistakes.
This eyeliner is better to take off with the lotion in my opinion. If you are fast enough to quickly wipe off or fix the area you messed up on before the liquid has dried then you could potentially use a Q-tip dipped in water, however, I find that if I use water I have to rub the Q-tip around my eye more which I don't like because I'm afraid of creating wrinkles.

Here is how the eyeliner looks after about 1 hour of wear. I had to go out to class, so I was able to see how this eyeliner would take to being worn outside. Also, this is natural lighting, which is always a good way to see how the eyeliner actually looks on me. So far, so good. This was around 10 AM.

Here is how the eyeliner looked after 9.5 hours of wear. It's about 6:30 PM in this picture. I haven't noticed any oily residue of the eyeliner on my eyelids which is good! This is something that I always have to consider whenever I use an eyeliner.

Here is how my eyeliner looked after 13.5 hours of wear. It is around 10:30 PM.
As you can see, the areas around my eye are kind of oily from the day. On top of the eyelid, there isn't any eyeliner residue present. HOWEVER, if you look at the area that is UNDER the wing-tip, you can see some smudging there. Tell you the truth, I don't really remember if this smudging is due to oil or it might have been from tears. Either way, it does smudge slightly there, but I don't find this to be that big of a deal. It really wasn't present for 9.5 hours, so having it being present by the end of the night when I am about to take off the eyeliner isn't a deal-breaker for me.
At night when I remove the eyeliner, I use an oil cleanser first then a water or gel base cleanser after. However, I am always able to get all the eyeliner off with the oil cleanser. I usually only need to oil cleanse once and I get everything off. But when I oil cleanse, I go really in depth with my oil cleansing. My sister always has to oil cleanse MULTIPLE times just to remove this eyeliner. So everyone is different on how they wash off their make-up.

Overall, I do like this eyeliner! It was WAY better than the MacQueen eyeliner that I had under one of my eyes. This eyeliner doesn't smudge on my oily eyelids and is relatively easy to remove. The color is nice and it doesn't have any fall-out. I would definitely buy this again, especially since it is ao affordable.

Rate (out of 5 stars): ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I would definitely recommend this eyeliner to everyone to use.
