Review: make p:rem Capsule Sun Gel

Hi Everyone!
We all need to protect our skin from the harsh rays of the sun, especially now that it's summer time.

Today, I will talk be reviewing the make p:rem Capsule Sun Gel.
It is a highly popular sunscreen and I've seen it on many lists from youtubers as their favorite sunscreens.

What makes this sunscreen unique is that it is in GEL form, giving it a more lightweight feel on your face. At the same time, it is providing broad spectrum SPF 50+ skin protection and NOT leaving a whitecast.

It is said to be non-greasy, non-pore-clogging, and non-whitecast. Making this a supposedly great sunscreen for all skin tones and types.

One thing that really attracted me to this sunscreen was the fact that it's suppose to be "whitening & wrinkle improvement & UV protection." I am always down for anything that is wrinkle improvement or anti-aging!
Formulated with birch sap and sea buckthorn, ivy leaf, and sunflower seed extracts to lightly moisturize and nourish the skin as SPF 50+ protects from sun damage.

On Glowrecipe.com it specially says: "Ideal for all skin types, especially combo and oily skin."

Packaging: this sunscreen is in a plastic pump bottle, so the dispensing part is, again, a pumping mechanism. Easy to use, very clean. Not extremely special about the packaging.

Fragrance: there is a scent to this sunscreen! It's kind of a citrus-y, orange-y smell. It does go away after awhile.

Free of: parabens, sodium lauryl & laureth sulfates, synthetic dyes.

Full Ingredients List: Water, Homosalate, Butylene Glycol, Octocrylene, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Behenyl Alcohol, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Glycerin, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Niacinamide, Betula Alba Juice, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein/PVP Crosspolymer, Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit Extract, Chamaecyparis Obtusa Water, Thermus Thermophillus Ferment, Ascophyllum Nodosum Extract, Asparagus Officinalis Stem Extract, Hedera Helix (Ivy) Leaf/Stem Extract, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Extract, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Moringa Pterygosperma Seed Extract, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Neopentyl Glycol Diheptanoate, Pentylene Glycol, Hydroxyacetophenone, Caprylyl Glycol, Tromethamine, Ethylhexylglycerin, Adenosine, 1,2-Hexanediol, Sodium Chloride, edta, Propanediol, Polyglyceryl-10 Oleate, Lecithin, Sodium Dilauramidoglutamide Lysine, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Lysolecithin, Phytosterols, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Sodium Polyacrylate, PEG-8, PPG-1-PEG9 Lauryl Glycol Ether, Phytic Acid, Calcium Gluconate, Gluconolactone, Hyaluronic Acid, Maltodextrin, Citric Acid, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Carbomer, Alcohol, Disodium EDTA, Potassium Sorbate, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Benzoate, Fragrance (Parfum)

How To Use: Apply right after the final steps of your skincare routine, to primer and protect skin before makeup.

How I Use It: I like to apply sunscreen about 5-10 minutes before I go out. Since this is a pump kind of bottle, I just pump out a little bit onto my finger tip and dot my face with it, then I massage the sunscreen into my skin.

                                                BEFORE                                   AFTER

Overall, I was NOT a fan of this sunscreen. I honestly don't really know why it's so popular, I've used better sunscreens that were also cheaper than this one.
It definitely felt really oily on my face. I'm not sure if you can tell, but my forehead looks shiner in the AFTER picture than the BEFORE picture. It just felt kind of greasy on my face and it would cause my glasses to constantly slip from my nose whenever I wore this sunscreen. By the end of the day, my face was really oily.
I don't really know what they would recommend this sunscreen for oily skin people because I definitely would NOT! I think this sunscreen might be better suited for dry skin people because it is quite moisturizing. Maybe all the people I see who liked this sunscreen just happen to have dry skin so it worked better for them. I'm not sure.
The scent I could live without, it's not a deal breaker in my opinion.
I do love that this doesn't cause any whitecast, which is WAY better than the sunscreen I mentioned last week, Klairs Mid-Day Blue Sun Lotion.

One thing I do want to say is, the sunscreen consistency is weird... When it comes out, it looks like something I used to make in General Chemistry or Organic Chemistry... It's like there's this weird precipitation, white looking flaky-clumpy thing in it. I thought maybe it's because I didn't shake the bottle before I used it, but it's not the case. I looked up online to see how it looks from other reviewers, and I honestly feel like maybe mine was defective.

Maybe it's just me? I'm not sure. Maybe this is why I didn't have a good experience with the sunscreen. I'm just grateful that it didn't cause me to break out.

Rate (out of 5 stars): ⭐⭐⭐
This sunscreen is nothing special. I feel like this are other sunscreens out there that are better and cheaper than this one. It is a experience to try new products, so if your looking for a new sunscreen and want to try something different, then try this one! It's a gel consistency which you don't see to often.
