Review: Oolu Ginseng Gold Cleansing Foam

Hi Everyone!
Today I will be discussing this cleansing foam from Oolu by Dr. OhKims Cosmetics.
Oolu is a sister brand of Whamisa, so as with all Whamisa products, Oolu also focuses on natural cosmetic products and fermented plant extracts.
I actually bought this cleanser a while ago, but it's just taken me so long to finally use it. O bought it originally from Memebox.com, back when they used to sell skincare on their website. A big selling point for me at the time was that it was suppose to be anti-aging due to having Ginseng inside it. I am always looking for ways to incorporate more and more anti-aging skincare products into my regime.

The description from Memebox says:
"When plastic surgeons from Korea, the world's leading nation in plastic surgery, create an organic skincare line, everyone ought to take note. The doctors behind Oolu, by Ohkims Cosmetic, believe natural beauty is the vest beauty, so they curated choice floral leaves that help strengthen skin's self-regenerating powers. A 1,656-hour fermentation process from selection to blending and steeping maximizes the natural benefits of these organic ingredients. Then the premium products, from toning mists to mask packs, are hand-made to ensure he highest quality. As they say, true beauty takes patience."

This cleansing foam claims to be purifying, refreshing and moisturizing. It is a handmade organic cleanser that is infused with Ginseng and Gold. It's suppose to be able to remove make-up residue and bodily waste.

Ginseng extract is a key ingredient in skin conditioning properties and is said to be able to boosts the collagen production of the skin and has soothing properties as well.

As for the Gold, it's not an insane amount. I usually hardly ever even notice any.

Packaging: I LOVE the packaging of this cleanser. Or maybe I just really like the look of this cleanser, it's probably all the flowers. 💮🥀

Size: 130 mL

Fragrance: There was a little scent to this cleanser, but if you weren't looking for it then you wouldn't even notice it. Basically almost no smell.

Texture: It has a thick, creamy texture. It creates a nice thick-ish foam, more like a dense foam, but not a springy foam-y foam.

Full Ingredient List: Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Myristic Acid, Palm Kernel/Coco Glucoside, Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Panax Ginseng Root, Bifida Ferment Lysate, Lactobacillus Ferment Lysate, Camellia Japonica Seed Oil, Urtica Dioica (Nettle) Leaf Extract, Euphrasia Officinalis Extract, Alchemilla Vulgaris Extract, Melissa Officinalis Leaf Extract, Ceratonia Siliqua Gum, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Gold, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Rosewood Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil

How to Use: I usually only use this cleanser in the morning when I am washing my face. I wet my face with some warm water, then I take a dime sized amount of cleanser into the palm of my hands and rub the cleanser between my hands to start up a foam. Once the cleanser has foamed alittle in my hands, I spread the cleanser all over my face and gently massage my cleanser into my skin to clean my face. Once I am satisfied, I wash off the cleanser with warm to hot water.

I don't typically use this cleanser as a make-up remover, but I just want to show you if it can live up to the task of being a make-up remover.

I am putting the make-up removal to the test! On my hand I have:
1: Innisfree Power Proof Brush Liner - Liquid Eyeliner
2: Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner
3: Tarte Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara
4: Maybelline Fit Me Concealer - in Medium
5: Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation - in Pure Beige

Here is a swatch of the cleanser. It kind of have an opaque look and a shine to it. As you can see, you can' even see any Gold powder or particles.

I am rubbing the cleanser all over my hand, some vigorous rubbing. You can still kind of see some of the make-up in the background. I rubbed for almost a good 5 minutes. As you can see, there is a dense foam that is made.

Here is how my hand looked at I washed off the cleanser. As you can see, ALL the make-up was washed off!!!
Sorry I didn't dry my hand before taking this picture.

Overall, this was a nice cleanser. I'm not sure if I would buy it again in the future, possibly due to the fact that it is really hard to find. It was just your typical foam cleanser, nothing spectacular about it. I didn't notice any anti-aging or skin brightening effects. I will say that this cleanser was moisturizing. My skin never felt dry after using the and it wasn't one of those "squeek-y clean" cleanser, which are actually NOT good for your skin.
I do like the ingredient list, especially that this is an organic cleanser. The idea is nice to have ginseng, but I don't notice much of a difference in my skin.
It was great to see that it could be used an as effective make-up remover if desired.

Rate (out of 5 stars): ⭐⭐⭐
There isn't anything really special about this cleanser. It did it's job.
