Review: Chypre Poppy Fill-Up

Hi Everyone!

Today I will be talking about this interesting product.
It is essentially a fragrance-moisturizer stick/balm-like skincare product. The packaging says it's a "Aromatique Skin Hydration Stick."
*I received this item from Blingdear in return for a honest review*

In all honesty, when I first got this, I was really confused on what it was. I didn't really understand the concept of it and didn't really know what to do with it. If you look it up online, there's like no literature or reviews or anything about it.
I can only give you the minimum information I was given about it by Blingdear.

What is it? A floral fragrance of romantic sensibility, expressed as an elegant woman, while containing the girl's wish for a fresh, pure love. It keeps the skin shiny and moisturizing. It gives you a sense of psychological stability through the scent of three flowers. It has 9 hubs that help to protect skin and form moisturizers. It's skin soothing and cooling.

Recommended Skin Type: ALL skin types

I hate to sound critical and mean, but the description of this product is really weird and sound almost absurd. It doesn't really make sense to me.

The brand name is called Chypre, which is actually the name of a family of perfumes that are characterized by an accord composed of citrus topnotes, a middle centered on citrus, and a mossy-animalic set of basenotes derived from oakmoss.
Chypre perfumes are often described as mossy, earthy, warm, spicy and nature-smelling.
HOWEVER, this is just the NAME of the brand, NOT what this fragrance stick actually smells like.

I have also never smelt or seen a poppy flower, but when I say it smells floral, I'm assuming this is what a poppy flower smells like, but I don't really have a reference to compare to.

Here is what a poppy flower looks like! It's pretty cute in my opinion. I imagine they are quite small, but what do I know.
Interesting Fact: Following the trench warfare in the poppy fields of Flanders during World War I (WWI), poppies have become a symbol of remembrance of soldier who have died during wartime. In many countries such as the UK, Canada, and Australia, poppies are often worn to commemorate those who died in war.

Overall, there are actually 3 scents for this hydration stick: Neroli, Poppy, and Lavender.

When you take the cap off, there's a protective packaging covering over the stick. It fits on top and I'm assuming it helps keep the moisture in the stick so that it doesn't dry out.

Size: 16 g

Type of Product: Essentially a moisturizer

Color: The stick itself is white, but when it's applied it's clear, so no color on the skin.

Fragrance: Like I said previously, I don't actually know what poppy flowers smell like, but I'm assuming that's what this stick smells like. To me it smells really floral, it's actually a strong smell. Whenever I apply it on my skin, I can still smell it there for a few minutes before the smell eventually goes away.

Texture: The stick itself it hard, like a lip balm. When applied, it goes on smoothly. Doesn't feel oily.

Sensations: There's actually a cooling sensation when you apply this! When I put it on my face, I feel cooled down, maybe it even has that soothing sensation.

Mechanism: It is a twist-up/down tubing. Turn counter-clockwise to have product come out. Turn clockwise to have product go down.

Packaging: It is in a black plastic tubing.

Here's a close-up of the stick. It sort of reminds me of a really big lip balm.

How To Use:
Apply on face in your face cream step. Pat in to enhance absorption.

How I Use It:
I use this in my face moisturizer/face cream step as suggested. Therefore, I use this moisturizer after I have applied my serum.
I rubbed it all over my face and then lightly pat or rub it into my skin. I like to go over areas that might feel more dried out like my cheeks.
I also applied this onto my neck and under my jaw.

Below, I am showing how for looks when applied to my hand.
BEFORE

DURING. I have just applied the moisturizer on, I haven't rubbed it in yet. You can see there's like a shiny look to my hand.

AFTER. I rubbed in the moisturizer. As you can see, it's not oily or glossy, in fact it makes the skin feel kind of matte, but not dried out.

Below, I did some close-ups on how well the moisturizer was on my face.
These are close-ups of my left cheek.
Left: BEFORE application. My cheeks aren't dried out since I have toner, essence, and serum on, however, I haven't applied any moisturizer.
Middle: I just applied the moisturizer, but haven't rubbed it in. You can see there's sort of a glossy on my cheekbones.
Right: AFTER application. I have rubbed in the moisturizer. There's no shine or oily-ness.

Here is a close-up of my right cheek. I have a pimple area that was relatively newly popped, so the skin area around it is a little dry. You can see some skin flaky/dryness around that one pimple area.
Left: BEFORE application. You can see the skin flaky-ness.
Middle: I just applied the moisturizer, haven't rubbed it in yet.
Right: AFTER application. I have rubbed in the moisturizer. My skin doesn't feel or look dry or oily. The dry area around the pimple is moisturized and the flaky skin isn't too bad.

Here is a BEFORE (left) and AFTER (right) of my face from using this moisturizer.
As you can see, overall, my face doesn't look oily at all. My skin feel moisturized and cooled down.

Overall, I really liked this hydration skin!

It's such an innovative concept that I have never seem before and it totally works! It would definitely be GREAT for traveling too! You won't have to worry about bring a cream with you or worry about any leaking coming from the cream in your luggage. You can literally just throw this stick into your bags and be on the go.

Although I have never smelt a poppy flower, after using this stick, I think I would like the smell of them if I ever got the chance to see and smell one in the future. It's really floral and as stated previously, it is quite strong. So anyone sensitive to smells (like me) should be warned. Once applied onto your skin, the smell lingers for a while, many about 5-10 minutes. It's NOT a light smell, it is definitely strong and heavy, but I do like it.

There is a cooling and soothing sensation when applied this moisturizer. I think if you were to use it in the summer, you would feel cooled down and it would be sort of relaxing. If using in the winter, it's still nice, a cooling sensation is never a bad thing in my opinion.

It is definitely moisturizing! My skin doesn't feel dried out at all! You can even apply multiple layers to have additional moisture. Even if you applied at lot of it, it doesn't feel oily or greasy. There's actually kind of like a matte feeling to the skin once it's rubbed in. Even when I wake up in the morning, my skin doesn't feel greasy and there isn't much of an oily buildup on my face. I have tried wearing this in the morning, under sunscreen and makeup and it's totally fine. My makeup still applied well and my skin didn't feel any oily-er than usually throughout the day.
As a person with oily skin, this hydration stick was a big hit with me. I do agree that it would work for ALL skin types! If you do have dry skin, you can simple just applied more layers.

Since it is in stick form, you apply as much as you want and don't waste product by having product getting stuck to the inside of the packaging. This means you are getting all the product that you are paying for.

Rate (out of 5 stars): ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I would definitely recommend everyone try this hydration stick! It works great for all skin types and is moisturizing! The bad news is, it's HARD to find online. I couldn't find it anywhere online, so you might only be able to buy it if you are in Korea.
