Review: Keep Cool Soothe Intensive Calming Mask

I was lucky enough to be selected by Stylekorean.com to review a set of skincare products from the brand name Keep Cool. This is the first time I've ever heard of this brand and also the first time I've ever tried anything from them. 
Keep Cool  has 3 lines, the Soothe (green) , Ocean (blue), and Shine (pink).

I was given 4 products to try out and I will give individual reviews for each one. The line I was given was the Soothe line.

Part 1: Keep Cool Soothe Intensive Calming Mask
When I was given these mask, they provided me with a total of 10 sheet masks.

Sheet masks are a great way to hydrate, moisturize, soothe, calm, balance or brighten you skin. These masks are usually a thin piece of cotton that is soaked in serum, essence or a hydrogel and are packaged individually for your convenience.
Sheet masks can be used as often as you want. I know some people like to use them daily, typically at night, where you can just wear them while you're watching TV to let your skin absorb all the skincare goodness. You would usually leave the mask on anywhere between 10-25 minutes, depending on how much time you have and how long you are willing to leave the mask on.
Since these mask are soaked in some sort of serum, essence, or hydrogel, it is highly, HIGHLY recommend that once you take off the mask, go back in and get the rest of that liquid and rub it all over your face! You're just adding more of what you were absorbing in!

Some star ingredients :
  • Scutellaria Balcalensis, Lonicerae Flos, and Forsythia Fruit: these 3 types of plants are well-known to have natural fever reducing effects to help cool down your skin and maintain the best skin conditions.
  • Betaine, Panthenol, Ceramide, and Hyaluronic Acid: natural moisturizing factor (NMF) substances help to nourish and moisturize your skin.
  • Hinoki cypress, Thuja orientalis, Pine tree, and Bamboo: these 4 types of ingredients generate phytoncide which helps to purify and soothe skin.
  • Adenosine: helps improve wrinkles and enhance skin elasticity.

The sheets are super-thin, like a second skin, allowing your skin to still breathe when you have the sheet on.
The sheets are 0.21 mm thickness, which is thinner than skin. These sheets are made of 99% natural material that softly embraces skin with silky-like texture.
The package itself contains 25g of essence that is thoroughly soaking the sheet.

Here are some close-ups of what the essence looks like. It is clear and fragrance-free. It's thick but still kind of runny. Not as thick as a gel but not as viscous as honey.

Size: contains 25g of essence in each individual mask pack.

Color: the sheet is white while the essence is colorless.

Fragrance: no scent that I can detect.

Sensation: there is a cooling effect/feeling while this mask is sitting on your skin. Even when you apply the extra essence from the package onto your face, you have this refreshing cooling feeling. The feeling only lasts a few seconds.

Packaging: each mask comes in individual packaging. In one set there are 10 masks.

How To Use:
  1. After cleansing, gently apply toner to your skin.
  2. Take off one side of the wrap of the mask and adjust the unwrapped side on your eyes, nose and lips.
  3. Peel off the mask after about 10-20 minutes.
  4. Tap the remaining essence serum onto your skin to absorb.
How I Use It:
   I use this sheet mask at night at the last step of my skincare routine. I like to use it after I've showered, before I go to bed so that I can just go to sleep with a layer of the essence all over my face, kind of like a sleeping mask but not .... a sleeping mask....
   Anyways, I just put on the sheet mask and then I let it sit on my face for about 20 minutes, then I take off the mask. I like to squeeze the excess essence off the sheet mask and wipe it all over my face. I then go back to the packaging of the sheet mask and squeeze out all the remaining essence and put that all over my face as well. The end result is like a thick mask of essence all over and I just let it sit on my face to absorb over night.
   In the morning I see the results and I just go about my usual morning skincare routine.


 BEFORE
This is how my skin looks at the end of my skincare routine, before I put on the sheet masks.

DURING
This is how the sheet masks looks on. The mask is actually REALLY big so I had to scrunch it up at the edges of my face so that it wouldn't go into my hair. The eye holes didn't really line up with my eyes and the mouth area didn't exactly fit either. The only hole that really fit was the nose area.

Here's a close-up of how the mask looks on my face. It's really thin and sticks really well.

AFTER
Here is how I look after I took off the sheet mask. You can see my face is actually already drenched in the essence from the mask and I added MORE of the excess essence to my face. The essence doesn't drip off my face so I am able to leave it on as a overnight mask.

DAY AFTER
This is how my face looks from having the essence from the sheet mask on my face overnight. I haven't even washed my face yet. You can see my skin has fully absorbed the essence. My skin feels plump and moisturized. The redness on some areas of my cheeks have reduced down/calmed down.

AFTER WASHING
Here is how my skin looks after I have washed my face off from the essence. Even after washing my face, my skin still feels plump and moisturized.


Overall, I liked this sheet mask!

My skin feels super hydrated and moisturized after I used this mask. I also noticed a big difference in the plumpness of my skin! Especially at my cheeks!!! My cheeks feel really supple and plump. My skin also feels really soft.

I also really like the cooling and refreshing sensation I get when I have this mask on and the excess essence too. To tell you the truth, I think the feeling is coming from the essence. Either way, I really like the feeling. I especially think it would be great to use in the summer, during the hot days this mask would make the skin feel cooled down.

This sheet mask is great for ALL skin types and would be great for anyone who has sensitive skin. I definitely see the soothing and calming feeling that this sheet mask advertises. I see the calming and soothing effects on my face at trouble areas.

Hi Everyone! I will be discussing a very popular toner by COSRX. This is the AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner . The main reason I bought this toner to begin with was because I saw a review, I don't remember by who, that said they used this toner and noticed a big difference in their skin.
