Review: CIATÉ London Starstruck Double-Ended Stamp Liquid Eyeliner

Hi Everyone!
Today, I will be reviewing an eyeliner that I got as a gift from my older sister.
My older sister knows I'm a huge fan of eyeliner, it's one of the main make-up products that I always use, so she saw this eyeliner and gave it to me.

I was really surprised when I saw the brand of the eyeliner, Ciaté London, who I thought only made nail polish.
Side note~~~ I like Ciaté nail polishes!!!

This eyeliner is unique because it's double-ended and has an eyeliner on one side and a star stamp on the other end. The star stamp is suppose to be used as a faux tattoo effect on your face, wrist, or anywhere. The eyeliner end has a precision tip to allow you to make that perfect cat-eye.

This is a really pigmented eyeliner, the black is intense.

Here are swatches of both ends of the eyeliner and stamp. The eyeliner is NOT soft! It almost looks like a hard sponge material.

Type of Product: Eyeliner and Stamp

Size: 0.04 oz.

Color: Black

Stamp Shape: Star

Stamp Material: It's a really hard material, kind of looks like a hard sponge.

Eyeliner Tip: Has a precision tip to create precise lines.

Eyeliner Tip Material: I don't really know what material this tip is, but it's REALLY hard. Kind of looks like a hard sponge. It's actually a little painful swiping the eyeliner on the skin of my eyes.

Formula: Vegan & Cruelty-Free

Full Ingredients ListWater (Aqua), Acrylates Copolymer, Butylene Glycol, PPG-26-Buteth-26, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Sorbitol, Caprylyl Glycol, Algae Extract, Black 2 (CI 77266), Ultramarines (CI 77007)

Ways To Use:
  1. Use a regular eyeliner
  2. Use the stamp to make stars
How I Use It:
I only used the eyeliner end of this product. I like the look of the cat-eye, so I basically always do a cat-eye whenever I'm using any kind of eyeliner. With this one, I just first start off as close to my lash line as possible and do little strokes all the way to the outer end of my eye. Then, I do the cat-eye tip that I want and then connect the tip to the rest of the base eyeliner and if I want to go thicker and I just add more eyeliner.

Below are different time I used this eyeliner and how it turned out!
You can see from the LEFT picture, there is a small clump of eyeliner on top of the eyeliner that I did. The color is really dark and intense. There is a great precise tip to the look.
If you look closely, you can see there are small clumps of eyeliner in the LEFT picture at the cat-eye tip.
BEFORE

There is smudging of the eyeliner onto my eyelid on BOTH eyes.
AFTER - 9 hrs later

There is smudging of the eyeliner at the outer corners of eyes.
The eyeliner has smudged onto BOTH of my eyelids, you can see some lines of the eyeliner on my lids.
BEFORE - not really the before, I forgot to take a picture from the beginning, this is about 2-3 hrs later from the start of when I had first applied the eyeliner

The eyeliner is smudged on the outer corners of BOTH of my eyes. On the LEFT picture, on my eyelid in the upper right of the picture, you can actually see a smudge of the eyeliner where you can see a black line of the eyeliner smudge. The outer tip of my cat-eye is also smudged away.
The eyeliner smudged onto BOTH of my eyelids. You can clearly see black lines on my eyelids. The outer corners of my cat-eye tips are smudged off a little.
You can see that the eyeliner smudged at the outer corners of my eyes. I know you might think it's the mascara, but my mascara has never smudged under my eyes before.
AFTER - 6 hrs later

Below, I am testing how the eyeliner is when it is applied on top of eyeshadow.
The eyeliner is nice and dark. The cat-eye tips are nice and precise, really pointy. If you look closely, on the RIGHT picture of my eyes closed, you can see that the base eyeliner is sort of bumpy-ish because this eyeliner tends to kind of clump.
BEFORE - testing eyeliner on eyeshadow

The outer corner of the cat-eye tips are slightly smudged away, not as dark looking anymore. The base of the eyeliner still looks nice and dark.
The eyeliner smudged REALLY badly onto my eyelids. You can clearly see the black lines on my lids on BOTH eyes.
AFTER - 10 hrs later

I did NOT like this eyeliner at all. It was painful to use on my eyelids. The eyeliner tip material, I have no idea what it's made of but it's really hard and tugs on my eye skin. The tip is also hard and as I said, it's painful to use.

It is really black and pigmented. One of the most pigmented eyeliners I have used, but it SMUDGES like NO OTHER. It's crazy. It smudges really badly with or without eyeshadow present. The outer corners of my cat-eye tips are almost always smudged away. It also always smudges onto the outer corners of my eye which is super annoying.

I don't care for the stamp. I never ever used it.

I would never buy this eyeliner and I wouldn't recommend it.

Rate (out of 5 stars): ⭐

I hated this eyeliner and I would never recommend anyone to try it. If you want to use the stamp, then I guess you could use this product, but I'm sure there's other stamps out there that might be better.

Honestly, there aren't many places that you can buy this eyeliner. There are some places on Ebay, but Amazon was the only place that I could find a definitive place. I don't know where my sister got the eyeliner from so I can't tell you where she bought it, sorry.
