Review: Karadium Snail Repair Sun Cream SPF50+ PA+++

Hi Everyone!

I hope you're all safe and healthy!

Today, I'll be reviewing a sunscreen from a brand I had never heard of before. I was running out of sunscreen and decided to look around on Yesstyle.com to see what sunscreens they had that I had never tried before. I stumbled upon this one from Karadium, which I have since also bought a gel pencil eyeliner from.

What really stood out to me about this sunscreen and what really pushed me to buy it was because it said it had snail slime in it. I know that sound gross, but snail slime is extremely great for your skin.
Snail has been known to help your skin through a range of areas, from fixing sunspots to smoothing out wrinkles (anti-aging & anti-wrinkle), due to the snail's mucus's ability in promoting the production of elastin and collagen in your skin.

This sunscreen is a tri-functional sun cream that's enriched with extracts from snail slime, cactus and aloe to soothe and protect your skin. The waterproof and non-greasy formula is comfortable on skin without forming any white cast. It provides tone-up effect and moisture while intensively protecting your skin from UV rays.

Benefits:
🌞Anti-wrinkle
🌞Whitening
🌞UV Protection

Here's a close-up of this sunscreen. It has a cream/tan color. It's a creamy, lightweight texture that glides well onto the skin.

Left to Right: Before & After
After rubbing the sunscreen onto the back of my hand, you can see that the sun cream caused a bit of a shine to my skin. It's definitely moisturizing and there is a slight white-cast, but more of a tan-cast.

How To Use:
Use at the last step of skincare. Gently spread over the vulnerable areas to sun rays which are face, neck, arms, and legs.

How I Use It:
I use this sunscreen in the morning at the end of my skincare routine. I like to dot my face and neck with the sunscreen and gently massage it into my skin. I do NOT put it on my arms or legs, I use a DIFFERENT sunscreen for those areas.

Below are 3 different instances of when I used this sunscreen
Left to Right: Before, During & After
I feel like you can definitely tell my skin looks a different color after applying this sunscreen on... it definitely looks paler. It was moisturizing and not oily.
Top to Bottom: Before, During & After
I feel like if you really look at the Before/After picture, you can see very clearly at the area under my eye, where the sunscreen has been applied. There's a really distinctive line of where I applied the sunscreen and where I didn't under the skin area of my eye and cheek.
However, I will say, the sunscreen is moisturizing. It does add a tan-cast looking color to my skin which I REALLY HATE. I guess you could say, it did cover a little of the redness on the acne I had on my cheek.
Left to Right: Before, During & After
Again, I made my skin look paler and did give my skin this weird looking shine to it. Also, it was moisturizing.
Left to Right: Before & After
Again, you can see that distinctive line under my eye of where I stopped at applying the sunscreen under my eye. I know there was a little bit of a line already in the Before photo, but it becomes even more obvious in the After photo once I had applied the sunscreen on.
Left to Right: Before & Only applying sunscreen to the Right side of my face
I wanted to show you how there is a difference in how my skin looks when this sunscreen on which if why I'm showing how it looks only on half of my face.
After
This is how my skin/face looks when only the RIGHT side of my face has the sunscreen applied. There's a really distinct line down the middle of my face, which it really apparent on my forehead, of where I do and do not have this sunscreen on.
Before
Now, I'm applying the sunscreen onto the LEFT side of my face.
After
Now, I have the sunscreen applied all over my face and it looks evened out. You can see my skin looks paler after applying this sunscreen on. I don't know if this was what they meant by "whitening."
Since this is a tinted sunscreen, it definitely DOES rub off onto my clothes. I'm showing you how it easier rubs onto a tissue paper. If I'm sweating and wipe my face, a bunch of tan is all over me.

Overall, I did NOT like this sunscreen.

I was honestly SHOCKED when I first opened this sunscreen. I had NO IDEA that it would be a tinted sunscreen. When I bought it on Yesstyle, the description and pictures they had didn't make it seem like it was tinted in any way. They also never mentioned that it was tinted or had any sort of color.

At the time, when I bought this sunscreen from Yesstyle, there were some customer reviews, but none of them had mentioned there was a color to this sunscreen. So I was under the impression I was buying a white colored sunscreen. So you can imagine who shocked I was when I opened it and realized it wasn't white.

Since it is tinted, I hated the whole experience of using it. The tan color was ALWAYS rubbing onto my clothes, which was especially noticeable whenever I wore white. Since I do apply this sunscreen onto my neck, it would rub off onto the collar of my clothes and it became really noticeable. You could even see the sunscreen rubbed off onto my BLACK or DARK colored clothes.

Whenever I went out or even worked out, this sunscreen was definitely being sweated off. However, I do admit it is quite waterproof. I had to travel to Chicago a few months back and I used this sunscreen that whole day. At the end of the night when I was washing my face off, I realized I could still feel the sunscreen on my skin. You know that feeling when you have sunscreen on your skin and then you get wet? It had that same feeling, which I equated as the sunscreen still being present on my skin.

Since it is a tinted sunscreen, it does change the color of my skin when I apply it on. Since I am on the more medium-dark yellow skin tone for Asians, it was really obvious when I had this sunscreen. Instead of a white-cast, there was a tan-cast which caused my face to look paler and just had this weird overall skin color look.

I didn't notice any kind of anti-wrinkling effect, but it was a moisturizing sunscreen. There was also this shine to my skin whenever I had this sunscreen on.

Rate (out of 5 stars): ⭐
I hated using this sunscreen during the whole time I had it until it was finally finished. I never plan to buy it again. I hate that it was tinted, and it was never advertised or even mentioned that it was tinted. I hate that it does look obvious that there's something on my face when I apply it on, gives a weird paleness to my skin tone. I wouldn't buy this ever. However, I do realize other people might like it. It didn't cause me to break out and it was greasy or oily in anyway. If you're fine with tinted sunscreen, then this might be the one for you.
