Review: EUI Lab Anti-Aging EGF Serum

Hi Everyone!

Today, I will be reviewing a product that I bought from 08Liter at a discounted price of $3.99 in return for my honest opinion.

I've actually had this serum since May 2018, but it took me a while to actually open and use this serum.

I honestly did NOT finish this serum, I only used it a couple of times.

One thing that really stood out about this serum and what really pushed me into wanting to get it was that it was anti-aging and contained EGF (epidermal growth factor).

What is EGF?
EGF stands for Epidermal Growth Factor
Everyone has growth factors in their bodies, they have a multitude of properties. It's a polypeptide (a molecular chain of amino acids) developed to speed wound recovery, EGF stimulates skin growth at the cellular level.

Facts from bioeffect.com: Growth factors are cellular activators that are signal molecules that communicate with cells, sending a message to repair, rejuvenate, or proliferate. There are hundreds of different growth factors that control more than 300 cell types in humans.

One thing that EGF does is that it helps burn victims grow new skin and speed wound recovery.
EGF may also be used to replenish the body's own supply, which diminishes with age. EGF application stimulates the body's own skin cells to proliferate, increasing skin turnover and radiance while slowing the aging process. It boosts production of collagen and elastin, the skin's bouncy scaffolding, increasing tone and elasticity. It boosts the skin's capacity to store water and reduce water loss. The result would provide a healthier, denser, more hydrated, youthful-looking skin.

This EGF Serum from EUI Lab was formulated in France. I've always wanted to try French skincare, so this was another thing that really pushed me into paying for it.
The serum deeply moisturizes, regenerates, and corrects the skin's aging processes. It's formulated with the highest quality ingredients and natural growth factors, which will boost cell regeneration and skin moisturization. Youthful skin produces enough cellular activators to maintain its appearance. Cellular activators enhance cell activation and renewal, resulting in replenished skin and a revitalized natural grow.

Properties of this EGF Serum:
  • Moisturizes and firms the skin
  • Stimulates elastin and collagen production
  • Boosts skin regeneration
  • Reduces wrinkles and lines
  • Improves complexion
Star Ingredients:
  • EGF: Epidermal Growth Factor has been shown to increase the rate of healing and renewal of the skin, as well as slow for aging and wrinkles skin.
  • Organic Barley: Springs from young buds of barley are picked when they're richest in vitamins, minerals, chlorophyll and carotene. Barley brings nourishment and organic barley water offers the skin elements it needs for a brightened complexion.
  • Low molecular weight Hyaluronic Acid: moisturizes the skin and fills in wrinkles. It also penetrates into the epidermis and helps it to regenerate. Hyaluronic acid is a polysaccharide constituent of the dermis. Applied on the skin, it forms a film which protects the skin and maintains and seals in hydration. The skin is plumped, more flexible and firmer.
  • Tri-peptide-1: a biomimetic peptide derived from the hepatocyte growth factor. It increases the firmness of the skin by activating the extracellular matrix protein synthesis such as collagen, elastin, fibronectin and laminin. With its tissue repair properties, tri-peptide-1 encourages tissue renewal and restores the bio-mechanical properties of the skin. It improves and accelerates tissue renewal with a dose dependent activity based on its structure similarity with natural stimulators of collagen synthesis. It's a key ingredient for anti-aging and tissue repair formulations.
  • Calcium Chloride: involved with cell communication and enhances cell rejuvenation and inter-cell structure. It allows the epidermis to keep its firmness.
  • Glycerin: a powerful activator in moisturizing skin, it forms a hydrating film on the skin's surface. Extracted from plants, it's a good source of humectants to the upper layers of the skin. Natural glycerin is a good emollient and moisturizer to the skin.

Size: 0.5 oz.

Color: clear and colorless

Fragrance: fragrance-free

Texture: there's a slight thickness to this serum, but it's still runny

Absorbance: does NOT absorb well into the skin. Makes your skin feel super oily and the oil is just sitting on your face. It's really uncomfortable.

Full Ingredients ListAqua (Water), glycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Chlorphenesin, Alcohol, Tripeptide-1, Calcium Chloride, Hordeum Vulgare Extract, SH-OLIGOPEPTIDE-1, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzonate

How To Use:
Use in the morning and in the evening. After cleansing and toning, smooth one to two drops over face. Avoid eye area. Follow with moisturizer of choice.

How I Use It:
I honestly wasn't able to use this more than 2 times. I only used it at night because it was so oily. I only used 1 drop and that was enough to cause an extremely oily feel all over my hands and face.
I applied it after I cleansed, toned, and used an essence. Once I finished applying the serum, I went in with my moisturizing face cream.

There's a clear rubber stopper.

A colorless serum that has a slight thickness to it, but is still runny.

You can see there's a slight thickness to it, but still runny.

I rubbed the serum between my hands and it was really oily and greasy feeling. Left a oily sheen/feel on my hand that was NEVER fully absorbed in.

you can see how oily and greasy it looks. It was NOT absorbing into my skin at all. Literally stayed this greasy and glossy for over 5 minutes before I couldn't stand it and I washed it off.

Overall, I hated this serum and I would never pay the full price to buy it nor would I ever recommend it to anyone to try.

It's extremely oily and greasy on the skin, never fully absorbing into the skin and leaving an oily sheen/barrier to the skin. I could only stand to use this serum 2 times on my face before I just gave up. It made me feel so oily that when I woke up in the morning, my face was super oily.

The serum is fragrance free. It didn't cause me to breakout during the two times that I used it which is great, but I could never go back to using it again.

The original price is $115. This is NOT WORTH THE PRICE in my opinion. I'm lucky that I got it for $3.99, but really, I feel like it wasn't even worth $3.99.

Rate (out of 5 stars): ⭐
I didn't like this serum and I couldn't even finish it. I wouldn't recommend it and I don't think it's worth spending $115 for such a small bottle either.
