Review: Glam Up 2 Step Spot Care Pimple Patch

Today, I will be reviewing some new pimple patches. If you've read my blog before or seen my instagram, you know I love pimple patches and have reviewed multiple different brands already. So far my absolute favorite is from Wishtrend, but they're also the most expensive, so it's not realistic to always buy to use.

These pimples patches by Glam Up, I received from 08Liter.com for FREE as part of there TRY FREE campaign in return for my honest review!

This set of pimple patches are  very unique and I've never seen this anywhere else before. There are a total of 18 patches - 6 MICRONEEDLE patches, 6 Large Hydrocolloid patches, and 6 Small Hydrocolloid patches. The microneedle patches are what make these patches from Glam Up so special and so distinctive from other brands. The combination of microneedle and hydrocolloid patches help to resolve rather than temporarily cover visible imperfections, such as acne, on the face.
The microneedle/hydrocolloid combination allows users to target the core of the bacterial infection and heals the wound to avoid possible scarring or dark spots from developing. Applicable to developed acne, developing acne, blackheads, whiteheads, and even dark spots.
Formulated with salicylic acid, tea tree oil, calendula oil extracts and camellia flowers, the pimple patch effectively delivers the ingredients deep into the skin through the microneedle solution and quickly soothes the skin from irritation. 

STEP 1 MICRO-NEEDLE PATCH: Before the pimple becomes irritated. The dissolving microneedles made of sodium hyaluronate target your acne & pimples and deliver active ingredients directly and quickly.

Full Ingredients List:
Microneedle Patch - sodium hyaluronate, niacinamide, camellia japonica flower extract, centella asiatica extract, tranexamic acid, salicylic acid, tetrapeptide-44, sh-oligopeptide-1, sh-polypeptide-1
Hydrocolloid Patch - hydrocolloid (styrene/isoprene copolymer, cellulose gum, polyurethane, polyethylene terephthalate), melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) leaf oil, calendula officinalis (calendula) oil

How To Use:
Step 1 Microneedle Patch
  1. After cleansing apply onto dry skin. Press lightly for 10 seconds and leave on for 2-3 hours.
  2. Don't repeatedly apply on same area.
  3. Make sure the needle area of the patch AVOIDS water
Step 2 Hydrocolloid Patch
  1. After cleansing apply onto dry skin. Pick the suitable hydrocolloid patch size and apply on trouble spot.
  2. For faster healing of trouble spot(s). Avoid repeatedly changing patches. Use the small patch size for areas that are difficult to reach, such as the side of the nose.

I first tested out the MICRONEEDLE PATCHES.
Here's a closeup of the patches.
The patches are really thin. In the first photo, you can see the tiny little needles. These needles will dissolve into your skin to deliver the key ingredients deep into your skin.

You can see that the pimple visibly shrunk and isn't as red or inflamed anymore.

Just the my left cheek, the pimple on the right cheek has visibly gone down and isn't as noticeable, red, or inflamed.

Second, I tested out the Hydrocolloid patches. I only used the hydrocolloid patch on my LEFT CHEEK in the same area that I had the microneedle patch. I didn't feel like my right cheek needed the hydrocolloid patch after using the microneedle patch on it. I also used the hydrocolloid patch on a pimple above my eyebrow.
Here's a closeup of the hydrocolloid patch. Like the microneedle patch, these patches are really thin. There are 2 sizes, but I only used the smaller (7mm) sized patches.

My pimple isn't as raised anymore and it removed impurities from it.

My pimple is noticeably reduced in size. You can see that it removed the pus and impurities from inside.

Overall, these 2 step spot care pimple patches are great!

I think the whole microneedle patch concept is super unique and I've never seen it before. The microneedle patch really is amazing and I noticed a major difference on the look of my pimples after using it.

The pimple on my right cheek was essentially all gone after using the microneedle patch that I didn't feel the need to go back and use the hydrocolloid patch on it at all. The pimple on my left cheek was still noticeably affected by the microneedle patch, but I wanted to see if more could be done for it which is why I did go back and use the hydrocolloid patch on it. Again, with the hydrocolloid patch, I noticed a different in the size of my pimple after using it. After using the 2 step process on my pimple on my left cheek, that pimple is now gone and fully healed!!!

I really like that these patches have key ingredients in them that help the healing process for acne. This is another thing you don't commonly see for pimple patches.

I do wish they gave MORE patches. Only 6 of the microneedle patches were given. I do think more shouldbe provided from the price they sell these patches at (1 pack is $10). Maybe they should've given 12 microneedle patches, just like they gave a total of 12 hydrocolloid patches.

I really like this patches! They're great for reducing the size of pimple and helping along the healing process. I do wish it gave more, but it is definitely worth trying out! I would recommend everyone try it out.

Hi Everyone! I will be discussing a very popular toner by COSRX. This is the AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner . The main reason I bought this toner to begin with was because I saw a review, I don't remember by who, that said they used this toner and noticed a big difference in their skin.
