Review: Borntree Gold Milk Steam Cream

Hi Everyone!

Today I will be discussing this cream that I received for free in return for my honest review from Blingdear.com

There isn't a whole lot of background information that I can find about this cream, so I'm sorry if it doesn't seem like I'm giving much.

Description: Premium milk complex observe fast to skin and has long lasting moisturizing power. Formulated with our advanced extracts of goat milk + donkey milk + horse fat + shea butter.
(The 1st sentence doesn't really make sense to me but it's what they advertise... I think they meant to say that it absorbs quickly into your skin and has long lasting moisturizing powers.)

With applying the secret method of Cleopatra's skin care with milk, it can easily provide moisture and nutrients at the same time.
In addition, because this cream is made by the Steam Method, it is supposed to get a very light and soft texture like whipped cream that you have never seen before. You can feel the moisturizing effect evenly delivered into the skin within 3 seconds and easily use every season.
The Selenium in combo complex of Goat milk and Donkey milk gets rid of free oxygen, and prevents or delays a dryness out of skin tissues.
The Horse oil is rich in unsaturated fatty acids (especially omega-3 and omega-6), helps to easily absorb moisture and many kinds of nutrients into the skin.

How cute is this packaging?! I think it's really cute!

Size: 200g

Color: White

Texture: Thick and creamy. When applied to skin, becomes very smooth and silky like.

Fragrance: Has a light plastic-y smell, the smell goes away so it's not really a big deal, but it's just not a great smell. Now that I think about it, it's kind of like a weird milk smell... which would make more sense.

Functions: Moisturization, Whitening, and Wrinkle Improvement

Packaging: White plastic tub.

Accessories: NONE, I was expecting a spatula to come along with this cream but there was none.

Full Ingredients List: water, glycerin, butylene glycol, betaine, dipotassium glycyrrhizate, niacinamide, adenosine, scutellaria baicalensis root extract, 1,2-hexanediol, carbomer, stearic acid, cetearyl alcohol, glyceryl monostearate, polysobate 60, sorbitan sesquioleate, dimethicone, horse fat, butyrospermum parkii butter, tocopheryl acetate, beeswax, sodium hyaluronate, goat milk, arnica montana flower extract, carum petroselinum extract, donkey milk, fragrance.

Here's a swatch of the cream. It looks thick and creamy, kind of like whipped cream or more like buttercream, but it actually goes on really smoothly. Doesn't feel heavy at all, really lightweight.

How To Use:
In the Morning: nutrients supplement for a dry and rough skin.
When to make up: mix in the make-up products such as BB and CC cream.
Before going to bed: if you go to sleep with fully applying on the skin that keeps peeling, it help to improve skin disorder.
(Again, these instructions aren't the best...)

How I Use It:
I use this cream as my moisturizer, so I use it both morning and night at the end of my skincare routine.
I like to just get small amounts of the cream and dot my face with it and then I gently massage it into my skin.

Below, I have tried the cream for 1 week and I have before/after shots of how it turned out.

BEFORE

AFTER
It's really moisturizing and doesn't feel oily or sticky at all. Feels really lightweight and my skin feels good.

BEFORE
This is a close-up of how my skin looked before I started using the cream. It has some bumpy-ness but not any real big pimples.

AFTER
Here is how my skin looks up close after applying the cream. My skin is really moisturized and there's even a slight shine to it.

1 Week After Using The Cream
BEFORE
This is before I applied the cream onto my face after having used it everyday for 1 week.

DURING
This is how I like to apply the cream to my face. I dab it onto 4 areas of my face and then rub it in.

AFTER
This is how my skin look after using this cream for 1 week. There is BIG breakout of acne all over the place.

AFTER
Here's a close-up of how my skin look after applying the cream and after having used this cream for the past week. You can see it has gotten more bumpy and more pimples have surfaced.

I decided to circle ALL the areas that I grew pimples after having only used this cream for 1 week.

Overall, I do NOT like this cream.

Initially, I liked it. I thought it was great because it is really lightweight, not oily, and is really moisturizing, which I really need during this cold winter weather.

However, after only 2 to 3 days of using this cream, I noticed that I started to have more and more pimples pop up all over my face.
I know it could seem that I might be confused on whether or not this cream is the cause of my breakouts or not, but I know that it was. I hadn't changed anything else in my skincare routine except for this cream. Before I changed and started using this cream my skin was great. It was essentially cleared out. However, once I changed and started using this cream, my skin became a disaster.

I'm also not a huge fan of the smell of this cream. It's kind of plastic-y/weird-milk-like smell... It goes away so I'm just being really nit-picky.

If it hadn't caused me to break out, I think I would've really liked this cream.
It's weird because I have oily skin and it caused me to break out, but my sister (who is also oily skinned) didn't have any issues with this cream at all. She actually really likes this cream, so I'll probably just give it to her to use instead.

Rate (out of 5 stars): ⭐
I don't like this cream because it caused me to break out. I might just have too sensitive skin, so other might like it instead. It is really moisturizing, lightweight, and not oily so it does have some good qualities.
