Review: COSRX AC Collection Acne Patch

Recently, I had the privilege to be selected as one of Stylekorean X COSRX reviewers for their Try Me; Review Me event of the COSRX AC Collection. Within this collection are 5 full-size skincare products as well as 1 packet of their AC Collection Acne Patches, which contains 26 total patches.

As you may know already, I'm a big fan of COSRX and have tried many of their products before. As an avid pimple patch user, I have reviewed many different brands of pimple patches as well. I have reviewed COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patch, which I really like and buy in bulk from Amazon.
Here's a look of everything I received from Stylekorean.

These pimple patches are different from COSRX's original pimple master patches. They're oval shaped, highly adhesive (not to say the originals aren't either) acne patches suitable for covering adjacent acne spots all at once. These patches not only help acne disappear without a scar, but also helps soothe and calm the spot. The border of the patch is thinner to strongly adhere to curved areas such as the jaw line and hair line. Patches are great to cover trouble areas and absorb the sebum strongly, soothing and calming wounds down quickly.

Interestingly, these are US FDA-approved quasi-drug wound protection patch! I think this might be a first for pimple patches!

In each patch, there are 26 total patches in 3 different sizes:
  • 8 Large Patches - 15 X 23 mm
  • 9 Medium Patches - 11 X 16 mm
  • 9 Small Patches - 9 X 13 mm

1 pack of acne patches gives 2 plastic sleeves, 1 contains the large patches and 1 contains the small and medium patches.

Here are close-ups of the small pimple patch. It's weird that it had these weird white spots on it, however, I know they're brand new.
Also, note how THIN these patches are?! I don't think they're as thin as the Wishtrend pimple patches, but these are definitely in 2nd places for thinness for me.

Shape: Oval

Color: Skin color, lightly peachy tan

Fragrance: No scent

Texture: It's the typical hydrocolloid pimple patch feel.

Key Ingredients: Hydrocolloid & Centella Asiatica Extract

Full Ingredients List: Carboxymethylcellulose sodium, Polyisobutene, Rosin, Polybutene, Mineral oil, Centella Asiatica Extract, Polyuethane film

How To Use:
Cleanse the area around troubled spot. Use after an exfoliator or before the toner step. Select a bigger size patch than the spot. Attach the patch on DRY SKIN.

How I Use It:
I use these patches morning and night. I have NO embarrassment or shame wearing them outside in public. I usually only put it on after I've either washed my face in the morning or after I've showered at night. This way my skin is clean. Make sure you apply is on DRY SKIN that has NO SKINCARE or anything on top. If you've already applied something on your skin, the patch won't be able to adhere as well.
I leave the patch on either overnight, or until night time (depending on whether I put it on at night or morning). To conserve the patches and make them last longer, I like to cut the medium and large pimple patches in HALF, this way I have 2 patches instead of 1 and they last longer.

Below are picture of my testing out the pimple patches. I do show picture of what is extracted from the patches, you've been warned!
BEFORE
These are pimples on my cheeks. The one of the right is from my right cheek and it's one of other long-term deep painful under-the-surface pimples. The 2 on my left cheek are just regular pimples that just weren't going away even though I've squeezed them multiple times.
AFTER APPLYING PATCH
I only used the SMALL patches because the area really wasn't that big.
NEXT MORNING
The way the morning after, before I washed my face and took the patches off. you can see the sebum and pus that was pulled out.
AFTER REMOVING PATCH
The pimples have deflated and aren't as inflamed as they used to be. While the right cheek's pimple is quite red, it's down in size and now on it's way to slowly healing. The pimples on my left cheek are deflated and completely gone now.

PATCH CLOSE-UPS
This is from my right cheek, from that deep pimple. It pulled out a LOT!
This is one of the pimple patches from my left cheek, you can see it essentially took out all the sebum in the pimple. Now the pimple is completely gone and just healing.
This is the second pimple patch on my left cheek. There wasn't as much sebum in this one, but it still took some out. Either way, the pimple is gone and my skin is on it's way healing.

Overall, I actually like these pimple patches more than the original Pimple Master Patches!

They're really great at staying on the skin and extracting all the bad stuff from your trouble areas while soothing and helping the healing process along. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that they are so thin. These pimple patches are a LOT thinner than the Pimple Master Patches. Although, like I mentioned at top, they aren't as thin as the Wishtrend pimple patches (which are amazing by the way), but they come in second place on thinness.

I really appreciate that they have centella asiatica extract in it to help soothe, calm, and heal your acne. It really elevates the pimple patch from the original.

I think the only down side is the price. They're definitely more expensive than 1 pack of the original pimples patches. I usually buy my COSRX Pimple Master Patches in bulk, a set of 10 from amazon from only about $20-ish, making each pack only about $2. However, on Stylekorean (which is the cheapest place I see so far) they sell 1 pack of the AC Collection Acne Patch for $6, which is about 3X the cost.

If you don't care about cost, then I would definitely recommend the AC Collection Acne Patch over the Acne Pimple Master Patch.

I love these pimple patches and I highly recommend them. I like them better than the Acne Pimple Master Patch, and would buy them all the time if I could afford the higher price.

Review: COSRX Centella Blemish Cream

Hi Everyone! Today I will be reviewing a product that I have bought a  lot  of... a LOT. I've been using this cream for over 3 years now. Review: COSRX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner

Hi Everyone! I will be discussing a very popular toner by COSRX. This is the AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner . The main reason I bought this toner to begin with was because I saw a review, I don't remember by who, that said they used this toner and noticed a big difference in their skin.
