Review: Faith in Face AHA Peel So Good Peeling Gel

Hi Everyone!

Today, I will be reviewing a very affordable and total worth it peeling gel from Faith in Face. This isn't a really big Korean skincare brand like Etude House, but this is a really great skincare product!

I first saw this peeling gel when I was shopping around Marshalls and saw this amongst their vast amount of skincare that was on sale. If you ever want to look for some skincare I highly recommend checking out Marshalls and TJMaxx. They sell skincare, even makeup beauty products, at a lower discounted price and sometimes it's cheaper than other places online.

When I bought this peeling gel, it was only like $4 when online you would usually find it for anywhere between $10-16.

This is a gentle cellulose-based peeling gel contains alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) complex and marine algae extracts that helps with removing dead cells off the surface of your face to reveal brighter, softer, and younger-looking skin.

The AHA complex is a fruit complex that contains a large amount of natural fruits, helping to smooth out the stratum corneum of the skin without irritation.
The plant cellulose maintains smooth pores and stimulate active skin cell renewal.
Sea Grape and Seaweed Extracts are added to the formula to calm the skin and reduce skin irritation. It removes "cornfield" epidermis while moisturizing and calming skin.

AHA: Alpha Hydroxy Acid
AHA is a chemical exfoliate that removes dead skin cells. When you have your dead skin cells removed, your skin will be able to absorb your skincare products more easily since you have basically created a blank canvas.

It's white in color, it's creamy-gel like but also sort of liquidy and runny. It definitely does slide around on the skin if you have a glob like in this picture.

How To Use:
Apply to dry, cleansed face and massage gently while avoiding eye and mouth area. Rinse with warm water.

How I Use It:
When I was in Taiwan, I was using this almost everyday. However, when I got back to the States, I was only using this peeling gel about 2-3 times a week. I never had dry skin, my skin was always wet when I used it. I would apply it during my shower after I had used a cleansing oil on my face.
Typically, I would squeeze out about the size of a nickel coin and that would be enough for my whole face. I massaged it around, feeling all the dead skin that was being removed, then I rinsed off with warm water.
Here's a look at what is being removed from my face when I use this peeling gel. You can see very clearly the chunks of debris that is removed.

Left to Right: Before, During, and After
My skin feels softer, smoother, and looks brighter than using this peeling gel.
Left to Right: Before, During, and After
You can see the texture of my skin looks smoother after using this peeling gel. It's like the roughness was removed when I was massaging the peeling gel around. You can see the white chunks of what is being peeled off.

Again, on this side of my cheek, you can see that there's a change in the look and feel of the texture of my skin after using this peeling gel. Even the pores near the upper bridge of my nose look smaller and cleared out.
Left to Right: Before, During, and After
My forehead looks smoother and brighter after using the peeling gel.

Overall, I really liked this peeling gel. I love it so much I've actually re-purchased it OVER 5 TIMES and I still have extras!

It's gentle enough that you could potentially use it everyday if you wanted it. It doesn't cause my skin to become dry or flaky. Instead, it leaves my skin to be soft, smooth, and brighter. When I was in Taiwan last spring, I brought this peeling gel with my to use as a 2X weekly gentle exfoliator. However, because I was literally spending everyday outside, sweating, and getting grimy, I ended up starting to use this peeling gel everyday. In the end, my skin just felt amazing and nothing bad ever happened to me.

I really like that my skin literally looks different after using this peeling gel. I see a difference each and every time I use it. I love that it's so affordable, especially if you go to places like Marshalls or TJMaxx to buy it.

Rate (out of 5 stars): ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I love this peeling gel and I highly recommend everyone try it out. It's truly great for all skin types and it's so affordable!
